I like them. 20 bucks, you can't beat that. 8)

I feel I need about a 1" rise in the bars mostly standing on the Big XT. I did this on my 06 KLR and made a world of difference.

Thanks Jaxon!

I put mine on tonight. I cut the zip tie that was holding the kill switch wire to the handlebar to give it a little more clearance. Everything looks good except for the front brake line. At full left lock there is zero play in the line. In fact it is slightly stretching it at the connection point on the bottom. Something I will keep a close eye on to make sure everything stays ok.

Hopefully if the front brake line decides to spring a leak while I am going down the road the rear brake will not fail as well!!!

TABASCO do you have a writeup of the installation? What type of special tools do you need to have? I am defiintely going to order these up. I am really worried about getting air into the ABS pump, etc... sounds like it would be a nightmare to get all of the bubbles out then.

BTW I see a pic on your site of the lines and they are black. They are stainless steel correct? Just wondering why they are silver. Dont get me wrong I prefer black... was just expecting silver.

They come with detailed instructions. I'm always here if you have any questions. The ABS is just line any other unit really.. The "special" part about the Super T brakes is in the ECU that controls the pump, Etc.... Just bleed them normal as with any ABS system..
The lines are Stainless with a black coating on them. Also with Stainless hardware.. One more thing, Life time warranty ! Just let us know... Thanks ;)

I would not suggest bleeding like you would normally. After you have disconnected the old line(you may have to use vise grips here, I did), install the new lines. Start with the brake side and add fluid to the reservoir and gently pull the brake lever in. Use a screwdriver and tap the line. You will see the tiny bubbles rise. Keep doing this until all air is out of the system. Just don't pull the lever in hard, use very little pumps as you tap.

On the clutch side, do the same thing and then bleed as normal.

This way will save you the hassle of bleeding the ABS..

I did 300 miles today with these risers from flat lands to twisty mountain roads. They are fantastic and put the bars in just the right spot for me.

Thank for the link TABASCO.

I have these on 4 other bikes. then they stopped making them. I missed this thread. I treid the Rox riser...didn;t like the tension on teh brake line....so I ordered the SWMotech block...that is basically the same as the Tusk but it costs 3 time more ! :D :'(

IMO any more than a 10mm rise and you will bave to at least replace the front brake line. I am anal and it would bother me though. I am definitely going to order up the lines from rideonadv and install them this winter.

I am actually thinking of getting the sw-moto risers as they seem to match the handlebars better.

Does anyone know if you need to get longer cables for the 15mm risers? How about 20mm? I read 10mm was the limit but want confirmation. This thread is 3 years old and we've learned a lot since then. :)
