I just want to relate a ride I did this past weekend through New York and Connecticut. I've owned my S10 since October but really haven't been able to push the limits of my bike or my skills till this past ride. The bike is flashed and has a Stoltec suspension with a Penske shock and LV can. I was riding with 2 excellent riders, one on a brand new Multistrada and the other on a tricked out Tiger 1050. This turned out to be 280 miles, with 200 of them at an insane pace. I will leave commentary of my own skills out of the discussion :-\ I was pleasantly surprised, as was my 2 riding buddies, that the Tenere kept up with a very spirited ride and is extremely nimble in the twisties. I've read about the bikes handling but its not until you really push this bike that you see just how capable it is. I'm in no way saying this bike will handle as well as their bikes but for a bike this big with 19" front and 18" rear it does extremely well. I had this bike between 5000 and 7000 rpm for much of the day and it performed flawlessly. I found the vibration in the bars pretty noticeable at those levels. I bought this bike for its all around function, from commuting to offroad, to insanity. It has lived up to my expectations ::008:: Granted, I've invested a lot into aftermarket mods, but not every bike will be able to perform in such a variety of conditions. This is a great bike and I would suggest to anyone who is on the fence about investing in an S10 to try and ride one. For those skeptics out there who trash upgrades, unless you've actually tried a bike with the mods you are criticizing, bite your lip. This is an awesome bike that holds its own with many more expensive rides and is worthy of the upgrades you might be considering.
