I follow the FJR1300 board too and noted a post there about the FJR 2024 model on Yamaha Power Sport's USA website. Took a look over there and noticed just about every current Yamaha bike there in a 2024 edition except our Super Tenere. So this might be "last call", Cycletrader shows a bit over 100 S10s at dealers and there may be more at dealers who don't subscribe to Cycletrader and in warehouses. I'm tempted to replace my 2013 as the subframes to mount it to a sidecar are now "unobtainium" so I should be able to transfer my sidecar to a 2023...

I think you may be right….I’ve owned several S10s and bought a new 2023 ES for this very reason. Big St. Charles Powersports, St. Charles, MO still has two 2023 S10 ES bikes at a decent price. There will be a set up and shipping cost added to the $13,350.00 sale price.

When I bought mine a couple months ago I saw the st. charles listing also. Should have went over to check it out but being west of KC ended up buying mine in KC. Their listing has been up quite a while.

... which will have no updates except possibly a slightly different colour-scheme.
That doesn't bother me at all. For what I use a bike for, proven reliability is way more important to me than bold new graphics and a home entertainment center in place of an instrument pod. I know the current incarnation of the S10 will do 100,000 plus miles with no issues; I couldn't say that if they made some radical changes to the bike.

I think the Tenere is going to continue until Yamaha is out of parts to make Teneres. I don't think they've made "new" parts in a long while, just have a bunch in the parts bin.

They had five listed in August when I bought mine….looks like two other sales with the two left. I have 2500 miles on mine and it runs great…..just like my previous S10s.

$13 K for a new 1200 in todays world sounds like a total bargain !

The T700 in most places is $12-$13 OTD........ Many of the other brands 700-800-900 are in the (about) $18-20K range.....

This world has gone totally nuts........

Side note BS: Just yesterday I was playing on FB-MP just scrolling.... There was a 1 year old GMC pick up, used... I think it was 8-9K miles.... for $98,999..... WTF ? LOL

I knew they had a bunch. I've been watching since the first of the year and finally sprung for mine a couple months ago. I'm totally happy with my ride. Nicest bike I've ever had. If I want to change the sound of the rattle I adjust the throttle:)

I'm tempted, got 70K miles on my 2013 so it's not worn out yet, but the cruise control would solve half my sore shoulder problems (right arm gives out first). Due to poor balance and gimpy legs I pretty much need a sidecar to ride, I've got a subframe and sidecar already on my S10 so should transfer over to a new one. Still could use a leading link front fork or geometry changes to reduce trail and make steering easier. Problem is, most of the people who used to make these have retired so hard to get new sidecar adaptations so bolting a fresh bike to my old sidecar and subframe may be the best solution. I've dream't of a euro sidecar but they're crazy expensive new, if I saw one hooked to an S10, FJR, or Concours I'd jump on it!

Eventually stuff thrown at the wall will stick and someday there will be no new Super Tenere, but not today unless Yamaha changed their mind since July. Be patient.
Another thing to keep in mind is the unchanged model info release date is timed to have minimal impact on the current year models on hand. Why compete with themselves?
I will miss my 2013 if ever I replace it with a different model. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking, oh, and rattling too, lots and lots of rattling.
There has not been a new shaft drive model announced by any Japanese competition. I can't go back to chain, just can't do that. I like the shaft drive so much my Norton is gathering cobwebs.
I am torturing myself recently with visions of a 2024 FJR but on paper that does not bring a lot to the table. Over the 2013 Super Tenere the FJR adds hazard flashers, cruise, heated grips, led headlights, 2 more cylinders, some styling and about 60 pounds.
Reminds me of the old elephant joke punchline '60 pounds, a black dress and a mustache'.
The Super Tenere is a hard to beat bargain IMHO. It ticks a lot of boxes.
All the best.

I'm guessing that you've never ridden the FJR. That 60lbs is the hidden rocket motor. Go ride one. At this point in my life, I'll still pick the Tenere, but if you want to feel acceleration. . . . go ride one. You'll thank me later.

But seeing the TW200 on the page, I realized that the Tenere just might be here forever. The TW has been around for over 20 years without any changes other than electric start and front disc brake. And it's still in demand. Even with a carburetor.

Yup. Still got enough parts to make some new ones, just like Sierra1 wrote.
Somebody starts a "no more Super Teneres" thread about this time . . .
every - single - year.

I still can’t quite believe that selling the ST here is illegal, because the EU decided that it is so bad for the planet. However, we can buy a Ford Mustang 5.0 V8 Mach 1 because it meets Euro 6.

There may be a market here for UK personal imports of “second hand” (i.e pre-registered) STs from the US, but the paperwork would probably make the process impossible.
