This happend last week, was having an amazing ride on the WYbdr. Got ran off the road by a truck on my side of the road at the crest of a hill leaving me with head on or ditch it..... And then they drove off after seeing me stand up. I was able to walk/run back to the nearest highway that luckily i had just passed to flag down some one to help get it out of the ditch and load my gear i found i could still ride it with the bent fork and messed up dash/windscreen so as i couldnt feel the pain yet still i was able to ride it to the nearest city. I ended up with a cracked rib and fractured thumb with some tendon damage for good measure for a nice slow heal.

As for the review on the trex skidplate/crashbars setup Five stars, 100% will buy again!
This was a roughly 4 foot deep rutted ditch off the side of a dirt road at aprox 30ish mph, main impact to the left side (radiator) and multiple flip crash that left the core of the bike nearly untouched. all plastics were intact and importantly were fine the post hit the bar did slightly touch the plastic but again no damage. skid plate great shape no movement from it but that has been solid for the cobdr and the wybdr with expert sections great product.

The bike ran perfect did get totalled out due to the cockpit/headlight damage, tank , bent fork and rear sub frame bent. So, Copart has a nice s10 if someone wants to fix a bike. it has mccruise control, seat concepts rear seat, upgraded clutch basket and a bunch of other goodies i left, that tweaked trex setup is still on as well. (left it all on due to hand hurting prior to pickup) Headlight protector did its job two tabs broke on the mounts but could be repaired easily enough with epoxy

Trying to get me a 2nd gen to replace it decided I want another s10 after going back and forth on that or a t7.

Man, so sorry to hear about the wreck. Crazy that they just took off... some people's children, ya know?

Glad you aren't too much worse for wear. Cracked ribs and thumbs are no walk in the park but it could have been way worse. The tendon damage will take the longest to heal but hopefully you will be back in the saddle of a new S10 soon.

Jdubco , sorry to see your bike all busted up , thankfully for you not as much. I bought a DR650 for back road off road exploring leaving the super Tenere for mostly travel, highway duty. decided to go lighter in weight . the T7 might be a better choice if you're going to be exploring as it is lighter than the super Tenere by about a buck 50 , more or less. if I were getting rid of my super Tenere I would probably replace it with T7. good luck .

I am sorry to hear about your hit-and-run incident. In 2009, while commuting in heavy traffic, I was sideswiped by a white van. The driver also took off and left me lying on my back in the middle of the road. I would like to think there is a special place in hell for people like that. Much like you will, I healed from my physical wounds. But for a while, I was a bit spooked while riding in heavy traffic. I am glad I got back on "that horse" and kept riding. I've had many thousands of miles of happy riding since the. I hope you heal soon and let's see the new S10 when you get it.

Where on the route did this happen?
on day 4 towards the end when you cross over 789 to alantic city the map doesnt show the curve much but its where your riding along a hill then come over the top to drop down to the creek so enough of view obstructed you cant see the road beyond the bend. so i was headed down headed down following the line in the photo so on the right inside of that curve where i met them just at the crest i had to go wide and came off the road in the ditch to the left(right side of photo)

Looks like your TRex Crashbars and Skid Plate worked excellent, installed a set on my Tenere last year and have been very happy with them and they are made right here in the USA . TRex makes an almost unbelievable list of products for motorcycles and if you like them on Facebook you can get a extra discount . Someone else on this forum had posted about getting the discount but I didn’t exactly understand it so I called TRex and the very nice lady I talked to told me exactly how to do it so I got the $60 discount.

Man that is scary! What seat did you have on that?
had seat concepts front and rear on it. i kept my driver but left the rear due to insurance. my hand was messed up so i would have had remove the cover/foam and put back stock which i couldnt do at the time. they'll reimburse me for it due to accessory coverage so it works out.
