yup did that on the Yamaha low seat....swapped them over to the Russel ( I Kept the low seat) I haven't had a chance to see how much difference it made as the bike is still on the lift for other maintenance. Id make the seat kind loose....Derekj said:Do a search for thinner seat rubbers. That will lower you by about three quarters of an inch.
I have the same situation as 1 and 2 with my new Russell and will send it back to be lowered and trimmed in the thigh area. They did an excellent job with #3 as I told them right off that I prefer to sit toward the front of the seat, so they made a nice flat platform for me, without the rise in front that I see on many of their seats.offcamber said:I'm not complaining or upset but, I may ave to send mine back for adjustment.... 1) It needs to be lowered. I'm on my tip toes trying to hold the bike up and that's on level ground. 2) Just sitting on it I feel a couple of pressure point right where my thighs meet the edge of the seat. 3) It sits me back so far I am really reaching for the bars ( and I have 2" rock risers). Before I send it back I'll ride it a bit but that won't be for a while.....
If I had longer arms and legs it would be perfect.... I'll make a note about the seating position.fredz43 said:I have the same situation as 1 and 2 with my new Russell and will send it back to be lowered and trimmed in the thigh area. I'm one of those narrow-azzed riders. I've found Renazco seats very comfortable and 'right-shaped' for my purposes. You have to be patient because they have a waiting list. Having a backup seat is almost a must.EricV said:Thanks for speaking up. ::008:: Direct input is always good. I meant to say Rick or Rocky/Bill Mayer, different operations, but I have no direct experience with either, only what I've heard/read.
