I've bought and sold many bikes in my life, but plan to keep my S10 for a decade or more, so for the first time I invested in a RDL seat. It is unquestionably the single best addition I've made to my S10. For me, it transforms the riding experience. I can ride for hours and feel completely comfortable. YMMV, but I'm completely sold.

One More Opinion . . . :) I bought my RDL over a year ago and love it. It was under me for my big trip last summer (9,500 miles) with many 5-700 mile days. I'm only 5-10 with a 30 inch inseam also, weighing in at 165 and it feels great to me. Have only ridden the stock seat and this one, but totally happy. I have to slide forward to get my feet to touch, and I might send it back to get it lowered a little, but don't want to give up comfort for lower. I'm back down to a 750 Lbs spring and the bike is MUCH better for my feet touching. I have never seen anyone not like the RDL . . . Good luck with it!

I weighed 280 when I ordered and got the heavy duty spring, I do 1000 mile days all the time, the only thing not sore is my bottom, expensive but worth it!

That's been my thoughts too.

The early Corbins on BMW's were OK but I think their quality and style has changed over time. I had a Corbin on my FJR prior to the Russell and it was worse that the stock seat.
Russell is really the best on the market and THE best farkeling money spent.

I had Rocky Mayer make me a seat for my R1150RT. I hated that thing. The terrible quality was equalled only by the miserable customer service. Every facet of that experience was crap. In stark contrast, both of my RDL seats were absolutely excellent. My third is on order right now.

I'm not complaining or upset but, I may ave to send mine back for adjustment.... 1) It needs to be lowered. I'm on my tip toes trying to hold the bike up and that's on level ground. 2) Just sitting on it I feel a couple of pressure point right where my thighs meet the edge of the seat. 3) It sits me back so far I am really reaching for the bars ( and I have 2" rock risers). Before I send it back I'll ride it a bit but that won't be for a while.....

Do a search for thinner seat rubbers. That will lower you by about three quarters of an inch.

yup did that on the Yamaha low seat....swapped them over to the Russel ( I Kept the low seat) I haven't had a chance to see how much difference it made as the bike is still on the lift for other maintenance. Id make the seat kind loose....

I have the same situation as 1 and 2 with my new Russell and will send it back to be lowered and trimmed in the thigh area. They did an excellent job with #3 as I told them right off that I prefer to sit toward the front of the seat, so they made a nice flat platform for me, without the rise in front that I see on many of their seats.

If I had longer arms and legs it would be perfect.... I'll make a note about the seating position.

Thanks for speaking up. ::008:: Direct input is always good. I meant to say Rick or Rocky/Bill Mayer, different operations, but I have no direct experience with either, only what I've heard/read.
I'm one of those narrow-azzed riders. I've found Renazco seats very comfortable and 'right-shaped' for my purposes. You have to be patient because they have a waiting list. Having a backup seat is almost a must.
