S3 code, did both seat covers, I figured, I did not cut corners on this bike for much of anything, and I am feeling it, but not in the seat pan.Kevhunts said:Clem,
What code did you use, S-1?
Moto, than this is your seat. Heading for the loneliest road in America today. Have to see Ruth, NV for the Steven King book written about in Desperationmotocephalic said:well if they screwed up it will be the first time, ::025::
under 600.00 for mine, solo, s3 code vinyl, 2 toneBrntrt said:What was the damage? $$$$$$$$$$$
Thanks Clem. I'm going to do the S1 solo in vinyl. Great looking seat and from personal experience the best for long days in the saddle. Enjoy it.motocephalic said:under 600.00 for mine, solo, s3 code vinyl, 2 tone
I had to go silver, since the bike has silver on it already. My ideal choice would have been white with red stitching on a white bike, but, this will have to workRonH said:Nobody would put on a white seat? Now that is just wrong. Not as wrong as repainting yellow, but darn close. Russell don't make seats in black? I would think if they had any integrity, they would have refused making a seat in white. Their name is tarnished forever by allowing that.
Color aside, do they make a rectangular design more in line with the style of the stock seat? Just wondering...I'm anxiously waiting to see what Corbin tosses out too.motocephalic said:no mine is black and gray, rectangle design... I hope...
Nice, can't wait to see pictures on the bike.... And of course comfort impressions, motocephalic said:no mine is black and gray, rectangle design... I hope...

No I have NOT got it yet, the frame is really starting to suck. They are nearly done, it is in upholstery now, may ship today perhaps. They are sick of me by now. The same builder has built all my seats, and I am certain it will be outstanding. Build date was Sept 7th, Pics to follow...gunner said:Clem,
Have you received your seat yet, if so, how do you like it? Inquiring minds want to know!!! My seat production date was 9/15 and I'm anxiously waiting for it.
Thanks,
Steve
While I agree it looks "super comfortable", as with all Russell Day Long's, they look like tractor seats and are fugly, IMHO!japako said:That looks really nice Clem.. It also looks super comfortable.. ::012::
what kinds bags you got again ::013::ColoRider said:While I agree it looks "super comfortable", as with all Russell Day Long's, they look like tractor seats and are fugly, IMHO!

I know, if I could ever get past the looks of them, I would probably really like how they ride. But, I don't think I ever will....

Sounds like a tractor, and now it's going to look like one. I can't say enough about the comfort. Sargents and Corbins got me 4 hours but the Russell goes the long haul.ColoRider said:While I agree it looks "super comfortable", as with all Russell Day Long's, they look like tractor seats and are fugly, IMHO!
