So do the main bars of the altrider And rumbux pretty much align at the same spots? Some pics look like the bars line up a little below the high parts of the plastics, and some look like they line up right at the exact high parts of the plastics. Hard to write, but I'm pretty sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

The top of the upper bars on both are very close to the same height, if that's what your asking. When you look at the bars from the front or back, you will see this is somewhat moot, in terms of protection.

I can take pictures later if you tell me what views you would like of the Rumbux.

I think I found a pic on advrider of the white bike with red bars that shows the rumbux protect the widest parts of the plastics and don't fit into the depressions. I was concerned when I saw someone's ride that had been down and had scratched plastics and ground up bars. It's possible the plastics were scraped in some other incident, though.

@Rizzo - It's ok, now it looks like an ADV bike! The first one is always the hardest, after that you get used the the bike taking dirt naps. But it allowed you to go to those places and the bars did their job so you could ride back out and safely home too, so all good. ::008::

I've seen more than a few ADV bikes with scratches under crash bars. Nearly always they are the reason the owner bought crash bars. Here are a couple pics of my '12 Super Ten with Rumbux 3-Part Kit installed. From the rear and from the front so you can see the spacing of the bars to body work.

Never mind the dirt, I just did a 3k ride to LA and back. Caught a passenger too, but didn't realize this one was still on board until I noticed the smell just now. Good size yellow belly grouse, or so it appeared.

Where you drop your bike will also determine if there will be scratches inside the bars or not. My one drop during the Colorado rally was on Ophir Pass, and because it was on the rocks there, one managed to slip in past my bars and scratch the right side panel.
