Hi Guys,

I want to invite you to visit our brand-new website and face of RRR Tool Solutions. Please share your feedback on the site - what you do and don't like. This feedback is important and has brought about most of what you'll see.

This new site gives you access to our Customer's Reviews (all of these came from you!), our Video Library, some history about motorcycles, me, the tools business, and something I'm really excited about coming very, very soon - our Articles Library and Blog/Projects pages. Our next project just might be the wildest one yet. We've been at this a long time so check in with us to read some informative, funny, and sometimes crazy tips and stories! Gordon/RTS

Thanks for the comments on the tools!

Amazon is a place I like to shop, but what many don't know is how expensive it is. First they charge you a monthly fee to have the store, then it's 17% to sell an item, then they hold the funds for at least 2 weeks and taken out any/all settlements before they send. I have very little mark-up in my tools and nothing to go towards the patent and development cost, so every Amazon sale costed me money. I listed with them mainly to get product exposure, but now realize that Google and personal forum participation is what I want to do.

I'll be hanging around! I love motorcycles and riding them. Gordon/RTS

I will ask wife to buy me some for Xmas and maybe earlier. Some great tools and new ideas. Love the video on JIS screwdrivers, the rear axle tool and spark plug tool. A lot of thought went into your kits

FYI Given the number of friends in Florida that ride American bikes ... any thoughts on doing a standard bikes ?

Harry, No...... - I couldn't afford it. To get Vessel to make the custom-made wrenches, JIS Driver Tips, and T-Handles that come in my 46-piece kit, I had to buy 40,000 pieces. I've got either a patent or Non-Disclosure aggrements in-place to protect my innovations.

Here is a little history - I have a good friend who owns the HD dealership in Spartanburg, SC. During an almost 1 year research period, His advice to me was "stay away" from trying to figure out which years and models of Harley's used the different combinations of SAE and Metric fasteners. In recent years, HD started sourcing front ends of most models from Japan. The forks, brake parts, and attachment hardware are metric while the rest of the bike uses SAE fasteners. According to his service manager, the SAE sizes and needs are all over the place - each of his mechanics have a large assortment of tools because almost every model had at least a couple of their own unique sizes. Harley does not sell a set of tools - they would need a suitcase.

With our Japanese and European motorcycles, you'll never find a 7, 9, 11, or 15mm needed (some companies don't know that). As long as I have been working and restoring bikes, the sizes of 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, and 17mm are universally common. When I developed my axle wrench (Sprocket Socket Axle Wrench) - I chose the 6 sizes that would fit 95% of the bikes we ride - 17, 19, 22, 24, 27, and 32mm. Notice that my wrenches have separate Boxed and Open ends - these are motorcycle wrenches since you don't need duplicates to hold/turn both left and right sides. My competitors still pack combination wrenches and you'll need 12 of those to do what these 6 RRR wrenches do.

I look forward to serving you when you're ready -

Thanks, Gordon/RTS

I just ordered the 46 piece Tool Set as well as the axle wrench tool set from Gordon. I cant wait to get my hands on these tools as they are high quality and will serve me well on my trip later this month. I called and spoke with Gordon about a tool to remove the front wheel and he is currently developing a wrench specifically for the Tenere. I mentioned thatI was on this forum and he said that he is willing to do a group discount of 10% off any order and free shipping. As soon as I receive my tools this coming week I will post some pics :p

No, not gone - but we did screw up on the Mobile Device settings (I'll take the blame, but I was promised they had it covered).

Web.Com dropped the ball on me when they failed to set the Mobile Devices settings late yesterday afternoon. By the time I learned about it - the level II folks had all gone for the weekend. My 1/2 dozen calls last night and this morning to their Tech Desk have netted "0" progress and correction. Mobile applications will be fixed Monday morning - I promise!

Please have a look on your laptop and desktops - these applications work fine.

Nice site, great pics and it looks like a lot of work went into it. This is my opinion only so don't take it as a slam, but the adventure set for $140....what would stop someone from buying those tools individually and spending half the cost?

Tim, thanks for the site comments.

Now, on the tools - you will not find another make of 46 pieces that give 60 combinations of tool options in a more compact and comprehensive set. I tried for years to find them. Go look for JIS/Vessel (Japanese Industrial Standard) tools cheaper, they are not available. You will not find a sparkplug wrench set that actually fits a 16mm, 18mm, and 13/16" that gives you 4 methods of tuning, fully adjustable handle positioning (to fit different clearances), has a positive stop on the key to ensure retrieval, and all of them fit into the space of 1 socket - I know because I own the patent. Where have you ever seen 7 correct 6-point sockets stack end-to-end? I invented that stacker too. Those hand wrenches are unique- you can't buy them today because the automotive industry has turned hand wrenches into Combinations - having a boxed and open on the same wrench. My design gives you two of every size - one for the bolt, one for the nut. To get a double sided fastener loose with other wrenches would mean you'd need 12 of them.

All of these tools were designed and/or chosen to be compact, but without compromises. The Textile Tool Roll is 1000 Denier Ballistic Nylon with a durable water resistant coating. They are sewn by hand in South Carolina by the same guy that does my motorcycle seats upholstery. Those spark plug wrenches are precision CNC machined from solid steel billet - you cannot get cheap, stamped tubing to nest and fit the sizes needed to fit the 1000's of bikes these do. Tubing soft enough to shape cannot be thin enough to fit and nest - the tolerances just do not and will not work (I tried it for a mass-market Lowes powertool set). That 16mm had to fit down into my ST1300's tight spark plug access between the cams and the 18mm had to fit the #2 plug on a SOHC Honda CB750. I spent a year researching and testing before the final design went to the patent office.

I invite you to read the customer reviews, the feedback on eBay, and try one for yourself. If you are not convinced that I have the best on-bike Tool Set, send it back and I'll refund your purchase.

Thanks for looking around the site! More to come, I promise. Gordon/RTS

More on what makes these tools different -

Back in 2012, I was getting ready for a cross-country trip with two close friends and none of us felt fully prepared with regard to tools. I purchased a set of Premium Tools for BMW motorcycles from the largest company in the business for $189 thinking I had done the best I could. What I got in that expensive kit was cheap "Phillips" drivers, just a few automobile combination wrenches that did not cover my size needs, sockets that had sizes I didn't need, an adjustable wrench, a cheap vice grip style of pliers, and a roll of tape. There was nothing to cut fence wire from the hub or sprocket that might get wrapped around, no magnetic tipped tool to retrieve dropped washers, screws, or nuts, and the cheap stamped steel spark plug wrench wasn't going to fit my ST1300 nor 1/2 of the models I had at home and traveling with. There is no way to use a ratchet, T-handle, or torque wrench on their plug wrench either - they want you to insert a round tool and turn. I had been restoring and working on motorcycles for more than 40 years - I knew I had been "taken". That 17 day trip that followed is when/where I decided that I was going to build my own "better mousetrap" and formed the RRR Tool Solutions company a year and a half later.

For anyone thinking JIS and Phillips are the same, please look at this photo of a Stainless Screw and one of my JIS Vessel Shop Drivers - Everyone of my 17 Bits are Vessel JIS and made specifically to 25mm length for me to fit my "Compact" needs - special because these are their Industrial Grade Bits as used in 35mm lengths at the Honda and Toyota factories. I demanded Industrial Grade and not their Consumer Grade, but in a 25mm length. Again, 40,000 pieces and they will make it for you.

Here is a video that is not mine in case you are not convinced - watch it lift the carbs...

I think your idea for the spanners (wrenches) is very clever and innovative.
I will also add that Vessel JIS bits are superb quality as you would expect from a high end Japanese manufacturer.

Gordon.....now that is what I wanted to hear. Great idea and motivation to help and ease the biker instead of ripping him off like so many others.

Guys, slogo65 (Andrew) has called me and negotiated a "Group Buy" for this board several days ago. I've set up Coupon code YST for the members of this Yamaha Super Teneres site. This coupon will work in combination with FREESHIP on orders of $50 or more. As shown on the site, FREESHIP is only available in the US and Canada.

The coupon is now activated.

Best Regards, Gordon/RTS

Excellent! So just so I know this IS a 10% discount and the FREESHIP? Right?

So do we put YST right in the same box as the FREESHIP?

I love this kit. It will replace the one I made and have been using many years.

Question: I added a 14" piece of steel pipe that I use on the end of my 3/8" drive ratchet for leverage. Only really needed for axle on and off. Obviously it's not a perfect as your $99 axle tool but has worked well for many years. Do you think it will fit over the handle on your ratchet? I know... I need to know the ID of the pipe...

Thanks and it looks like I will be ordering the Adventure set soon!

Brick, during checkout there is a coupon entry box, once a code is entered, a 2nd will show - you'll enter both and see the discounts show up before you hit the final button.

Now, for that ratchet - it is NOT made for axles. Vessel says it's designed for 23 lbs, I've tested it to 35 and it performed perfectly. 6mm bolts are torqued to 7 lbs max, 8mm to 14 lbs max, 10mm to 22 lbs, and the highest sparkplug spec I've ever seen on a motorcycle is 14 lbs. I made the Sprocket Socket Axle Wrench just for that axle! It will stand up to my 240 lbs jumping on it!

Thanks for all of the post and questions. I love my job..... Gordon/RTS

Hmmm... Ok I am trying to order. I put in YST and it says, "Sorry, the coupon code you have entered is invalid. Please check the code and try again." AND when I put in FREESHIP it says shipping is $2.00... which is pretty cheap for shipping but it is NOT free. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying!

Thanks for the offer Gordon. I'm in on the group buy and appreciate the offer. My experience is the same as Brick. Code still shows not valid. I'm in when we get it sorted.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just spoke with Gordon of rrr tools. He is traveling this afternoon and attempted to fix the shipping coupon, etc. from the road. Unfortunately, his computer skills do not match his wrenching skills, so he has not been able to get it all corrected. He just brought this version of his website online and is still working out the kinks. Once he arrives at his destination, he will get it resolved and things should be good to go first thing in the morning.

Thanks for the patience.
