Does anyone have a couple of metal clutch plates they could send to me to make up a clutch holding tool for my imminent modified basket swap. I am based in Northern Ireland... thanks

As others have said, use an electric or air impact wrench. You don't need a clutch hub holder then (just leave the plates in while you loosen the nut), and it's always a good tool to have in the shop.
So I've done the swop - been riding with the gen 2 clutch basket for a couple of days -
It's amazing - I can't believe how big a difference it makes - the engine and transmission doesn't feel like it's fighting each other anymore. Super smooth through all of the gears & power delivery feels a lot more linear. The whole riding experience feels more refined..
I had the exact experience on my Gen 1. In addition to the smoother acceleration, I noticed much of the engine clatter disappeared. The engine is still quite noisy but nothing like it used to be. Worth the money.
Basket arrived from Partzilla a couple of days ago. looking forward to installing it over the holidays/vacation. Too excited today to even think about it ( General Election )
