My brother just got a standard GS and I went for a visit to
Tenessee to see what the fuss is all about. Seemed lite compared
to Tenere. Lower to, don't know what the suspension travel is. Front
brake takes alot less pressure to operate.Shifting wasn't the best. Gas
mileage was though , GS is getting mid to high 50's .
Robert didn't like the weight of the Tenere but thought it shifted better
and thought the brakes were better...better feel. He feels the GS front
brake doesn't have consistent feel probably due to electronics. His
conclusion and mine is " I wouldn't sell the Tenere for a GS". He felt these
bikes are really alot alike in terms of power and performance.
I took him down some dirt roads....He didn't like it ::025::

He, he, he, he"s definitely a street guy judging from the apparel. Maybe you can convert him with more coaxing. His bike is capable. All he needs is a little practice.

As I recall you were suggesting the S10 w/flash was a faster bike. No?
I suggested you had not ridden a WC boxer or you would have know better...... ::025::
More power + lighter = faster bike. I though perhaps you'd like to know the truth, nothing more, nothing less. Yeh, I know it's the internet, no need to be accountable. ::024::
