I put Givi crashbars on my S10, and now I want some decent road pegs for it. What do you use?

I can't be certain that I've seen highway pegs for the Givi's. Looking at how my feet would have to go from sitting in the saddle, I think it would be tricky to get something that would work for any period of time. YMMV. I'll do some more research and see what I can come up with.

Here is an option, not cheap, but very nice. I saw some of these on a 1200GS last weekend and they are some of the nicest highway pegs I've ever seen. The GS design with it's stub bars allows front to back adjustment, as well as folding away inside the crash bar zone, which is almost worth the obscene price.

I like the location of those down low. What was your source?

I made the brackets and bought the pegs off Ebay for 27.00. They appeared to be Kury knock offs, but not bad. I had everything powder coated.

It's ok, you live in the UK. We don't get that either. :D

It's just about riding habits. When you can ride 20 hours a day for days on end and not leave your own country, sometimes it's nice to put your feet in different positions once in a while. Helps keep the blood flowing and fatigue down. Some S10s probably never get ridden for more than an hour at a time, others far longer. Individual needs dictate the modifications and farkles we choose. There is no bad way, just what's right for you.

multiple 800-1000 mi. days in a row. The knees need to unbend for a while. I live in Eastern US and ride out to Colorado and Utah to ride in the mountains. Several long days on the Interstate system to cover the 2000 miles to get to the fun parts, then long days back. I usually take a detour on the way back to visit relatives in the Midwest or South. My trips the past two summers were 6000+ miles. My recent planned trip was almost 9000 miles. A little different terrain than the UK, I think.

I do highway pegs same way on every bike I've even owned and that is hanging my legs out sideways to stretch, forward, backwards ect. I never wanted or needed pegs. Mostly on this bike. It sits up high enough where hanging legs is easy.
Unfortunately, that is how our friend, Alan, injured his ankle when he hung his legs too low and his foot caught on the pavement and was slammed back into a foot peg. I don't know if that is what ultimately led to his recent ankle fusion surgery, but I do know he doesn't hang his legs any more.

Take a chill pill limey, I was just saying I don't get it. I didn't say it was wrong or bad, just that I personally don't get it, I would guess most people in the UK wouldn't get it either because I don't think I have ever seen them here, except on a Hardley (other cruisers are available). At the risk of wearing the expression out "each to their own!"

I've used highway pegs of varied design & quality, even highway blades on other motorcycles I have owned. I never used the forward foot rests as much as I thought I might, but the respite to the legs in a forward position is good for helping to keep the stiffness away. Letting your legs dangle a bit or standing on the pegs can helps also.

I'd quite fancy a 6000+m bike trip, it would take a few laps of the British isles to do. It's not so much the knees that couldn't take it, the S10 has the most leg room I've ever had on a bike, it's the pain in the wallet. £1.40 a litre, £6.30 a gallon & the best I can get is 45 mpg(uk), ouch.
