I picked up my replacement R/H crash handle the other day.
The original was destroyed after a number of falls, but I guess it's only fair, it did it's job.

Buggered and bent:

Brand new and unscratched - All ready to go out and get buggered and bent again 8)

I mentioned somewhere before.
This part in the States is about $US32. Over here the thieving bastards charge $AU89.
I'm sure that Yamaha Aust look at each part and say "whats the most we can charge some idiot for this, before they call the police on us"...

So, now that you've put the OEM "draggers" through their paces, what's your overall take on them? Do you see a case for full blown crash bars with associated additional girth and weight? I put H&B bars on my DL650, but thus far have avoided adding bars to my S10.

I had the Yamaha accessory bar work and SWM bars on my bike and both have been removed in favour of just running naked.
We do a lot of quite narrow dirt trail riding, and in fact my bike see's 75% dirt time rather than sealed road.

It has been down the trail on one side or the other on quite a number of occasions and the standard set up seem to be doing a reasonable job.

Each for their own I guess.

Several hits? Sounds like the Yamaha naked setup is more rugged than the SW Motech crashbars that bent to an unusable position after one fall over at 1 mph.
