This last weekend I went to the Hill Country to see the Blue Bonnets and meet some old friends. Had a great time riding and the weather was outstanding. Here is some pics taken by a commercial fotog. I will post others later.

I'm on the blue ST on the first page, neon jacket.

On the way down, stopped at Cooper's BBQ in Llano to stuff my face, lol.

The Blue Bonnets are out but not like they will be in a week or two. Highway 29 from 281 to 16 was really the best.

I'm not sure if Iowa has any Bluebonnets or not. It is the state flower of Texas. The flower also is seen in other colors.
The bike cafe is also a bar and does a really good business. It is to bad that such a great riding area is subject to drunk riders.
While there, we were the first to come up on an accident involving one female rider that lost control and ended up with her HD on top of her. They Care Flighted her out. I hope she is ok. Since January 10 riders have been killed in the area of Leaky Tx.

I am not inferring she had been drinking, just talking about the accident..

We have bluebonnets in this neck of the woods, but they are called Lupines. I looked them up once and as I recall, they are the same Genus and species, maybe a different sub-species. They are the same or very closely related. R

That's cool Rem.. I had to Google about the flower, as I didn't know that much myself.. lol
I guess it grows in other countries as well. Also it does go by different names in different areas.
