Nice, looks like a fun time.

What crash bars do you have, bottom and front looks like the Yamaha parts, but what is the top part? Did you have to cut through the side panels?

Love the pics, especially the one where the sign says, "Anysberg," which I interpreted as "S10's destination is Anywhere..." :D

Hi Speedstar

It is the original Yamaha crash bars. The top part is made up by the dealer and they only had to cut two holes in the side panniers. It is custom made and as you can see, it looks like it is part of the original crash bars.

;D Dit lyk baie lekker! It looks like you guys had a nice time. Where exactely did you start the trip from? Will be in the Franschoek area early next year to enjoy the lovely mountain passes and scenery of the West Cape region. Perhaps if you can tell us who your dealer is, we can order the same sensible crash bars?

Simply awesome, some fantastic riding I would imagine, if only we had terrain like that in the UK.
Morti .... you have plenty of decent riding in the UK .... The northern reaches of Scotland are absolutely brilliant. We'll do that sometime 8)

Hi Yahmy ......................... Our trip started in Worcester. it was just a short day trip.
I bought my S10 from Droomers Yamaha in Bellville and they do the crashbars. You can contact Johan Sauerman at 021-9480871.

Nice scenery. This is exactly why I bought myself the Super Ténéré. Being riding bikes for over 29 years I thought I missed a lot of nice roads crossing Europe. Because of the nature of my rides, I always had to stay on the tarmac. Now I can choose to leave the concrete and take the trail.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
