I'd like to rework the factory 12V outlet to make it useful for my air compressor. I already have a Fuzeblock installed, so I think I can just run it through an unswitched 15A circuit.

Wiring stuff is not my strength, so I'm posting here to ask the experts for help. Is my plan a good one? Any guidance before I start pulling panels and tapping wires? Any other advice?

Thanks!

The wires going to the outlet are a bit on the thin side, so if you increase the fuse size you might want to keep a eye on the wiring to make sure you don't melt the wiring with a high amperage draw device plugged in (say a air compressor or the like).

why not just use the battery tender pigtail?...you can wire in a sae 2 prong on your compressor cord...or get a 2 prong sae to 12V outlet pigtail....
