Well, we had a rainy week so I decided to try out various combinations of my assorted rain-gear - including a nelson-rigg Aston (as-3000) rainsuit.
Honestly, that was the first time I have ever been on a motorcycle in the rain and came back dry. I did about an hour loop in the rain on a mix of mountain-ish back roads and highway. So I am pretty happy with calling that one a keeper. ::001::

I had some regular pants/jacket with my high-top boots and the suit goes easily on top of everything, fit well and is not too flappy even at speed. As others have said, the pants could stand to be about 1" longer for me to use the straps, but don't really need them anyway. I might extend them or just take them off. I guess it would be nice if you could get the pants in a different size than the jacket to make that work directly...

Anyway - that plus some winter gloves I got on sale at cycle gear (Bilt demon I think) and I came back totally dry.

The only place moisture was getting (and might be a longer term question) was the cheek padding on the side of my helmet. I actually did not try the option of using the hood on the rain suit up under the helmet - I suspect that would finish off the seal, but ultimately the lame part about a wet helmet is the next ride anyway...

Overall - I think it is a reasonably cost effective way to get good weather protection

Good: totally dry, jacket fits great and comes low, hi-vis available if you want to be seen (I got the red jacket and it is pretty good already), pants zip high so they can go on and off over boots + have some heat/slip protection and have suspenders - which I like to keep the overlap with the jacket right, reasonable amount of exterior pockets and overall good build quality

Bad: Pants could stand another 1-2" to work the boot straps, the suit doesn't fold down as small as I would like (but reasonable for the material and small enough for home in case bottom or lid) - some who like extra breathable might not like it as much as alternatives. I found it was okay with the mesh pocket/vent open - just make sure your wallet is in one of the other dry pockets :)

Ugly: If you have to wear it, it's raining...
