I usually replace the stock grips with BMW tapered grips. Can someone verfy that the Tenere uses the standard 5" long grips?

TIA

Rod, are you planning on using heated grips with the tapered BMW grips? Does the taper take the pressure away from hand compared to traditional straight grips?

Are those the Harris Ariette grips?

I put those on my Uly along with Symtec grip heaters underneath and really liked them. I have not been able to find them again.
I am currently using Pro-grip Rally grips and they feel great too.

Yes, I plan on using the "Dual Star" type (actual brand is Symtec), as I usually do). The taper and ribs do diminish the heat somewhat, but I'm still very fond of the BMW style.

I'm not familiar with that brand. Here is what the BMW tapered grips look like:

Yes, those are the Harris Ariete grips. I like them but can't find them anymore. I guess I could source then from my BMW dealer for a slightly higher price. Where have you gotten them before?

Here. I found them in their catalog:
http://www.ariete.com/en/catalog/road/road-grips/standard/
Sure enough!!!! Looks like they make them for BMW. I never knew that!!! There are a couple places on line where you can buy the BMW ones. I'll have to look up the links again. $9.71 each plus about $8-9 for shipping for a pair. You can also buy them at your local BMW shop for about $15 or so each. Here are the P'N's that you will need either way:

R: 32721458396

Good luck!!!

Well, I used to know a guy with a yellow ST1100, but I don't recall what color his grips were. ;D

Fred,

We have a common friend who has the market cornered on pink grips. Think he would cut folks a deal on a set? ;D
