Sooooo, I tend to debadge/desticker all my vehicles. What can I say, I like the smooth look... :-\

Anybody tried removing the round Yamaha badges on the side plastic and/or the little one under the windscreen? I think they're just held on with adhesive, but thought I'd ask first before I go pulling on things. OEM plastics can get spendy, I know that truth all too well... ::)

Might have a few ideas for badges as well... ;)

I removed everything except those....

One way to know would be to heat them up really good with a hair dryer then try to pull on them a bit and see. Other similar badges on past bikes have all been put on with double side foam tape, so I suspect these are the same

Take the cover off and look at the back where the badge would be. If there is not evidence of a metal, than it is held by adhesive.
Use a piece of fishing line( monofiliment) and just saw through the adhesive. Carefully keep tension on the line keeping it away from the paint.

Dental floss is another option and probably gentler to the paint.

Well, she's been destickered and dereflectored... ;D

FWIW, the round Yammie logos on the side plastics are NOT bolted on. I left mine in place for now (working on new ones) but did get behind there to verify....

Ive been considering removing mine... I want RED in the back ground of the tuning forks, and then reinstall them... Being that they are chrome plastic, I'm not sure what red paint might stick to that ?

I like the "tuning Forks" also. People do ask what it means.
I have always thought that this bike has way less manufacture advertising than other bikes. I like it just the way it is. Can't imagine taking the time or risk in removing those tank badges.
Am I right in saying there are three badges, one on each side of the tank and one small one behing the wind screen, and Yamaha is stamped one only one side of the engine case and that is hard to see because it is the same color of the cover. So on my bike it only says Yamaha in one place on the bike other than small writing ...
Am I missing something ?
Hey to each his own, I just don't get it ....

Mine also has another small "tuning fork" ::022:: emblem on the rear fender above/forward of the tail light.

You ought to see a late model Guzzi.... It seems like you can't go 10" in any direction without the Moto Guzzi name cast into something.... 14 of 'em on my CalVin...
