A while back, I sold a spring to Trasbeck. I bought it from a Racetech authorized dealer in West Burlington, Illinois. I took it out of the box, but never really examined it closely. As I went to an Ohlins rear shock I put the spring up for sale on here. Trasbeck bought it. He decided to go a different direction as well, but when he put it on here to sell again, he noticed that instead of being a Racetech spring, its actually a Hyperco spring. He brought this to my attention, which was news to me. I want to publicly apologize to Trasbeck, as it was not my intention to misrepresent what I sold him. I will be contacting Racetech directly to find out why a Racetech rep is selling a Hyperco spring. I will also attempt to find out if the spring is actually for a Tenere, and if so, what its rated for. If the spring rate and size is for a Tenere, I will try and help him sell it. If not, I will buy it back. My apologies to Trasbeck once again.

Best Regards

In my experience Race Tech uses a number of spring suppliers including Eibach, depending on the application. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the spring.

Well thats good in regards to Racetech. I'm trying to find out if the spring I was initially sold is what I asked for. Trasbeck said it had 188a100 on the spring. Is that an ID for the spring...anybody know? I'll get to the bottom of it. When I received it I only opened the box to see if the spacer was included. I talked to Jaxon about it and ended up getting an Ohlins setup. He's quite the salesman..haha. If the spring is what I initially asked for and its for a Tenere, then Trasbeck should be able to sell it. If its something completely different, I'll buy it back from him.

I used to work for Race Tech and they do buy from Eibach or Hyperco depending on availability and what spring rate is needed. Race Tech's own brand of spring is actually made by Eibach as they are located just down the street from Race Tech so easy access and shipment. Nothing wrong with any of the 3, Just different colors.
