Recommendations for a Scan Tool for the ST?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I think newer year Teneres ('17+) are OBDII compliant so you can use a generic auto scan tool along with an adapter harness to read malfunction codes. Earlier models have diagnostics built into the instrument panel. I would not say there no modern method to troubleshoot them. What is this scan tool you speak of?
Please do and let us know how it works for you. Thanks in advance.I'll try my snap -on scanner just to see if it works ...Thanks
UK sellers...PITA that they only come in RHD....I see those adapters are only sold in Europe. Here in USA they are listed on ebay, but all come from UK sellers. I would buy the adapter, but if one does buy, how would you set up your scanner? All my scanners ask for make, model, year, engine, ect or auto detect, but they won't auto detect a motorcycle. So you set in some car and see if it works?
you can only check and erase the error codes with a generic diag tool. The Yamaha DT is the only tool you can use to change the co, throtle and fuel injection parametersHello everibody
I need OBD CAN BUS tool for yamaha. Yamaha since 2017 no longer uses the DIAG mode. I need to adjust TPMS, CO, adjust idle speed ... etc for Yamahas 2017 2020. YDT tool v.3 is extremely expensive, dealer code is needed for its full operation. Generic tools like Torque CarScanner with ELM cannot make adjustments, it is only possible to clear alarms and read sensor data. Multi-brand professional tools to make precise TPMS adjustments for example are extremely expensive, this does not interest an individual who uses a single motorcycle. I have news that Healtech is preparing a tool for Yamaha, I have good experience with Healtech OBD for Suzuki, good price 250 $ / €, this tool was connected to the diagnostic port of the motorcycle and to a PC with microsoft, I could adjust the ISC valve idle speed , adjust positions ... etc. Anyone have information if finally Healteach will release this year an OBD tool for new yamaha that do not have the old DIAG mode ?. I have news that the new advanced professional tool that Healtech has prepared for Yamaha will use the ANDROID platform. Has anyone news?
There are very expensive $ 5000 tools for multi-brand professionals such as AUTEL Diagnostic Tool with which it is possible to change and modify these parameters in these YAMAHA's as CO, TPMS values ... In any case, HEALTECH will soon launch a tool at a good price (maybe 300$ or less) such as another OBD tools of Healtech has for Honda Suzuki and Kawasaky. I have had a good experience with this type of professional tools specially with obd healtech suzuki, with them it is possible to adjust all possible settings. At the moment I am waiting for its launch.you can only check and erase the error codes with a generic diag tool. The Yamaha DT is the only tool you can use to change the co, throtle and fuel injection parameters
