I know there a numerous on line OEM parts suppliers like CyclePartsWarehouse, CyclePartsNation, etc, but can any of you guys recommend based on personal experience one over another, or maybe advise on who to stay away from?

Hey RC, I have used Stadium yamaha and had good results, even through a transition period last year, also used Boats.net with excellent results, but they only cater for the 2012 model not the '14, but as long as the parts you require are crossover item that would be ok.

It pays to shop around. I've used Stadium, Rocky Mountain MC/ATV, YamahaPartsHouse.com, Boats.net and even PartsPak.com depending on what I needed at the time. I've had no problems with any of those vendors so far.

Lately, after comparing multiple sites I seem to end up back at Partzilla, at least for Honda parts. Haven't bought that many Yamaha parts yet though.

I like Rocky Mountain ATV for Yamaha OEM parts. They have parts lists with exploded views, prices seem reasonable and their shipping is very quick.

I got bored so I thought I would check out some of the online OEM parts sellers. I looked up a 2014 clutch basket # 2BS-16150-00-00 on several sites. This is a part that a lot of 12 & 13 owners have bought. I don't know if this difference in prices stays the same across the board or what the shipping cost difference is between the sellers, just the price they have on the part.

Partzilla-$271

Pro Caliber $275

Parts Pak $296

Stadium $303

Babbitts $313
Yamaha Pts. House $313

Rocky Mt. ATV $355

Ask your Dealership. The dealership I purchased my Tenere's from is very good to me. They matched the online clutch basket price with no shipping. For other OEM parts they are usually less expensive than the online sellers plus I do not pay shipping. Tires.. they haven't been beat.

And what dealership is that, if I may ask?

PCP is just way out there for me but it's good to know they match internet prices.
Or is that just a favour to you because you purchased the bike from them?

Don't know about a favor but I have known them since 1973. They are good people. I would (I do) ask any dealer (vendor) if they would price match. That is just good business. You don't ask, you don't get. Be respectful, be respected.

I disagree with you on this one. Respect has nothing to do with anything related to buying stuff from anybody, or asking anything.
The only time when respect is sought is when one spends a large amount of money buying something, and respect is what he wants to be rewarded with for his purchase. Becoming a VIP or some schit like that. Like it really matters.
Didn't want to stray from the main subject, but I have, unfortunately...

A lot of online sellers only add 10% TO 15% to their cost. It probably cost your dealer 15% over cost just to stay in business. It's all about volume. If your local dealer could sell 50K a week in parts, he could sell to you at 10% over cost, but if he's only selling 3K a week in parts, it takes all the profit just to pay the electric and help.

I am like Tomatocity. I call my local dealer and give him a shot at selling me. They usually can get close enough where I keep my money in town. On stuff like oil filters, I tell him where I would like to be price wise and advise I am willing to buy quantity. I bought 10 last time. And he has enough respect for me as a customer he'll flat out tell me if he cant get there and I best go on line, he did that last fall when I needed a battery.

If I am shopping on line, I go with best price from a known entity.

I am blessed with a really good dealer. And multiple Yamaha dealers in our metro area.
