Im 250lbs and racetech spring calcs says i should have 19kg/nm but closest is higher. Front springs says stock is good.

So inshould be able to just replace rear. Font knownif i should go with the next higher or lower 17kg/nm

If you load the bike down and/or ride 2 up, go with the heavier spring. If you mostly ride solo and like a smoother ride go with the lighter one. Then see how the front feels. The stock fork springs on non ES models are progressive wound and in my opinion are too soft.

From what I recall, they are different. I have a 2013 non ES model with Cogent suspension F&R. Back when I bought the shock and springs, I just called Cogent and went with their recommendations. I am very satisfied with the results.

The springs are different on the ES compared to the non-ES, but there’s no preload adjustment for the fork on the ES, only damping adjustments. The ES rear has both preload and damping adjustments

For the ES: The Cogent rep recommended I source my fork parts directly from yamaha, and that they can't service the rear. Then told me to go to Race Tech for more info.

I'm waiting for a reply from Race Tech about that options I have to rebuild/upgrade, and still keep it "ES"

Their response will be interesting. I keep seeing conflicting information about the rebuild-ability of the OEM ES shock.

It would be an asinine design for it not to be rebuildable, since it won't last the life of the bike. And it costs $2500

The race tech site shows the proper spring rate on their chart but your stock springs are progressive. The front end of the Super Tenere really needs help. I have NO IDEA why it was setup the way it is stock!
