Can anyone here confirm that the rear shock from a 2012 S10 will fit a 2014? I checked on line and the parts numbers match, but I wanted to confirm it if I could.

I've heard of nobody swapping but would personally take the part number to be pretty conclusive.

Having owned both models, there appears to be no difference on mounting points or size (cannot speak of ES version) so if you are looking to mount a yamaha shock or aftermarket unit, you would be ok.

I replaced the oe shock on my 2011 with a Yacugar shock about 3k km before I bought my 2015 model. Before trading in the 2011 I replaced this shock with the oe and put the Yacugar on the 2015 bike. No problem. Exact replacement
