Hi folks,

I'm trying to fit the right foot rest support bracket (from OEM pannier kit) on my ES model and not sure how to remove the side panel covering the rear brake master cylinder so I can undo the footrest bolts. There are two plastic pop pins underneath but beyond that I'm stumped. Any advice / help greatly appreciated.

Ricky.

Once you have the two plastic push pins on the bottom out, the panel is just pushed onto a rubber grommet in the front and hooked on the top to the subframe. Note that the plastic fasteners have a center that you push in to remove the entire fastener, but then push the center core out before re-installing. When putting them back in, the center button should be sticking out the top. Insert into the panel, then push the center button back to flush to lock it in place.

After the two lower plastic fasteners, pull the front out gently, then lift the entire panel up and out and it should come off. This may help -
