Much better than the KLR ever was IMO. Kicked myself for many years for not buying the ridiculously discounted ones on the showroom floor back in the 90s. If I wasn't holding our for FI... Nice bike.

Yup, 4 valve head, breathes a LOT better than the KLR, and lighter, too. The downside is the aftermarket, since it was only built between '93 and '96, but there's still some farkles available. I got the KLX and the Versys to do what the Tenere will do for me. Now I don't really NEED either.

Funny thing is, the carb is the same as Harley ran for many years and they sell the parts for about half that of the Kaw dealers. suckers
