Thanks to all for the great info.
Not sure what the CO adjustment is though.

One last question.

The Auto Tune.
Is this a necessity if I know that I won't be messing around with the PVC much?

I think that I am going to start with headers and a reflash. work my way to the PCV as I get a feel for what else I might need. Like eliminating the popping.

Thanks again. This is exactly what I was looking for.

What about the different configurations of your exhaust?

The TBR should have been wide open and compared to the LV with NO stinger/db killer. Fueling for that should have been close, no?

With the stinger in the LV I would think you would actually be a "tad" rich in most conditions. With the db killer in, you should be "super" rich. BTW: how is sound and loudness with these 2 options?

With the ECU in open loop from the ECU-U flash, I am not 100% sure what adjusting the CO does. Is the CO adjustment a "trim" for the open loop map? If so, your tuning is off and the canned tune just isn't that great. I know you say "something specific to my bike", but Jaxon saw it also on his customer's bike. The ECU-U flash with header/exhaust ran better with more fuel.

Of course both of you are poking around on the butt dyno, so there is great variance. However, FEEL is all that really matters. There are no dynos ripping up mountain passes.

The ECU map is somewhat generic for a "slip on". The TBR was wide open, that's why it is in the garage waiting for me to decide to sell it.

The Leo with the stinger (db killer) in was decent, louder and less restrictive than stock, way more socially acceptable than the TBR. I have the disc in it right now, brings it down to near stock sound level, makes the can EU compliant. If someone was looking to knock off some weight and not get louder, that is the ticket. I am going to pull the disc out again, the sound was about right for me, and at steady state highway speed, sweet.

I don't know enough about electronic engine management to be more than dangerous. I don't know how the CO trims function with the flash. I do know they did have an impact on idle quality and off idle performance and part throttle operation.

If I get a burr up my tailpipe someday I may schedule a Friday appointment at AF1 and make a run down there and have it tuned on the Dyno. Wanna go ride that Texas Hill country anyhow.

Lemme' know when you're riding down. I'll try to meet you up there and show you some of that Texas Hill Country. AF-1's shop is right on the edge of some of the best of it! ::008::

I have yet to hear of even one person that had dyno pulls and map adjustments done at the ECUu tuning center with their S10. If someone ever gets around to doing that, it would be nice to know the results.
I'm thinking most folks that have had the re-flash done are more focused on throttle response and rideability, not powa. Not sure how to that will show up on a dyno... perhaps a smother tq curve??

Your thoughts Dallara??

I'm not talking about power, just the AFR/fueling issues that the PC/AT is correcting for. ECUu centers can adjust for that at ECU level, so maybe one wouldn't need the PC/AT after that.

theres no point fitting a PCV unless your fitting a full exhaust system and decent filter, the results are not worth it. if you take the advice of the guys at diasapon italy. they have already told us, that having the flash done with the PCV and pipes and filter already fitted gives us much much more power and seat of the pants power. this is my experience and results. i couldnt be happier. (well i could if yamaha refunded me all the money ive spent lol)

you lot keep messing around, shorting wires out to trick the bike ???????
just do the proper mods and ride the bike in full power form ::008::
