Winter sucks and it isn't even technically here yet. Soooo....I am booking into Rawhyde's Intro to Adventure Riding Course in California March 21-23.

Here is the plan. Rent a truck to get from my frozen back alley to Abbotsford, BC on March 10-11. Drop the truck and start riding south, taking 10 days to wind my way to Rawhyde's facility north of LA. The course runs Friday afternoon through Sunday night. Monday, March 24th I will head off for Death Valley for a few days of camping before pointing the bike back north and, depending on the weather and road conditions, I will be back in Calgary around April 1st.
Originally I was going to fly down, use their bikes (BMW's) and do the two day add-on trip into the desert, but looking at the all-in cost I was able to justify trucking my bike to the coast and building a 3 week trip around the off-road course.
Should be fun. David
PS. There is probably room in the truck (14' Uhaul) for 1 or 2 more Super Tenere's!!
