....or 1-800-turbulent windshield "Whaaa! I'm being buffeted!" You can sue them for emotional trauma. ::021::bloke said:i think i saw an ad on the TV last night from a lawyer putting together a class action lawsuit about the super tenere i cant remember what it was about but the number was "1-800 loud fan" or "800-bad luggage" if i remember correctly ::26::

I'm amazed that noone has complained yet about the accuracity of the temp reading.... Has anybody ever checked? My bet is that it is off somewhat....fender5803 said:I love that the temp can be read to within one degree, plus or minus a certain amount of course.
Ohhhhhh, you didn't just go THERE! While we're at it let's mount a temp sensor on the final drive ::014::Blue_eyes said:I'm amazed that noone has complained yet about the accuracity of the temp reading.... Has anybody ever checked? My bet is that it is off somewhat....
Gotta get me a TempHealer soon and hook it up to calibrate the thermometer.... ::017::
When I came home from a 2 hr. drive I put my finger against the diskbrakes and noticed that they were HOT! Auch!!! :'(Tremor38 said:Ohhhhhh, you didn't just go THERE! While we're at it let's mount a temp sensor on the final drive ::014::
It could be a ambient temp but I have no temp issues with the final drive at all. The final drive is just warm to touch. But then again the warmest days here are 25C while most of the time the temps are 15 to 20C. I have not found the final drive to be hot at all.Tremor38 said:Ohhhhhh, you didn't just go THERE! maybe you should park it in front of a nice warm fire at nights to help maintain heat in them thar brakes!Blue_eyes said:There must be something wrong with the brakes I guess..... ???
I was thinking more in the line of getting me some of these cool looking warmers for my diskbrakes like I see on the tyres of those racebikes when they're in the paddock. I guess they are available in smaller sizes for diskbrakes as well.... ? ::26::bloke said:maybe you should park it in front of a nice warm fire at nights to help maintain heat in them thar brakes!
Hot damn! I love you Trevor! You are absolutely right! I was looking at the ambient temp on the little box! How do these guys that sell motorcycles stay in business? They no nothing of the product they sell. This is precisely why I've never liked salesmen.dcstrom said:Jim, when you say it's cutting in at 88F, you must be looking at the ambient temp, not the coolant temp, right? Fan cuts in when coolant reaches 221F, off again at 214 or so. You could easily be getting it to that temp tooling around the parking lot - in fact that's the time your most likely to hear the fan, going at slow speed. Once you get here out on the open road, it won't be an issue, the fan won't be needed.
Trevor
I suppose it's because if YOU know what you are talking about then they just tell you how amazing and brilliant you are and sign you up, and if you don't they sell you the bike and accessories for the biggest profit they can.Jim said:How do these guys that sell motorcycles stay in business?
