Radiator fan noise

When my radiator fan kicks on, it sounds like a siren. Normal?

Mine also sounds like a siren. I kinda like it as it reminds me of my fire service days without the fire involved.

Just be glad it doesn't pump hot air straight into your face like my VFR side radiators did...nice in winter, absolute inferno in the summer.

Yeah, it makes some noise, but I don't mind - I know it's working.

i used to find it embarressing, but now i like it, cos when im in traffic on a hot day and the fan goes bonkers everyone looks at my bike. which means they get to see the beauty as well as me ::001::

LOL . . . scared the sh#* out of me the first time it went off, thought I broke the darned thing. Just wait until you do some off-road and its on constantly, you won't even notice it afterward.

First time riding with my wife next to me on her bike, when the fan kicked in, she looked at me and laughed. She always said my old Dl650 sounded like a sewing machine and while she likes the tractor sound of the S10 the fan noise made her giggle ...

on my first ride home from dealer, every stop and every light, i heard a siren noise... thought weird cop siren, where are they.... my first water cooled bike, never had a radiator on a bike before... normal.....

I heard mine for the first time last week when i was warming her up .
I thought it was the nuclear plants warning sirens !! I started bending over to kiss my ass goodbye !!
Fun start to a day though
