Apparently didn't write it the way I wanted. Was implying sad for the BMW. I like the idea of more lights to the rear.I would have thought that would be a good thing.

Wait...what? The driveshaft should be changed every 60-80K kilometers?
"Cardan replacement for 700,000 BMW motorcycles...........................in 2023, BMW requires regular checks and replacements for the cardan. This applies retroactively to the R models with water-cooled boxer engines from 2013. In the R 1200 and R 1250 models, the drive shaft should be changed every 60,000 kilometers. For the new R 1300 GS and subsequent R 1300 models, every 80,000 kilometers."

Can't fail if you're changing it out before it does. That's one way to fix the problem. Put the onus back on the owner for not following the recommendation.Wait...what? The driveshaft should be changed every 60-80K kilometers?
It's nothing a well placed decal couldn't cover. While I secretly lust after a GSA1200 or 1250, the new 1300 does not appeal to me. Nor does a new MultiStrada and I'll tell you why.....Adaptive Cruise Control. Not the application of the adaptive cruise control (even though I think it's the most stupidest thing ever to put on a vehicle. I own one that has it and I loathe it. Anyway, that's another topic of discussion.) It's black square abomination that both motorcycles share. With the windshield in the up position, exposes that hideous block. On the Multi, it's right there in your face. I'm no designer but if you're going to put that odd headlight on the new 1300, why not 'hide' it in the center of the new light array? It wouldn't stand out as much. These are my thoughts and opinions. But that bike is a NO because that's the first thing I'd look at if it was in my garage. Thanks for letting me rant.
Maybe you are looking at the adaptive part only….In the fog, with poor visibility….the radar can see the back of a vehicle before your own eyes…which gives you a lot of safety when driving in fog. But you are right when it comes to normal driving, it hinders the overtaking, you have to be deactivating and activating the cc, or anticipate many meters before overtakingWhile I secretly lust after a GSA1200 or 1250, the new 1300 does not appeal to me.
