Question for Fredz43 -horn

Fred,how much louder is the optional Yamaha horn compared to the squeeky stock unit.Thanks in advance.Also I kept the rear bag from my 09 Klr650 with the hardtop,works good as long as i`m alone.

According to the Yamaha listing, it is 112 db.

Thanks Fred I will be going with the Yamaha horn tried to fit the Stebel Nautilus and I cant find any room. The Stebel is 139 DB.

Thanks Fred may have to go that route,maybe it will be loud enough to be heard above the boom box`s .

Looking forward to seeing the fit of the Yammy horn. Might be easier than installing a Stebel.

I have a Stebel and learned more about it Wednesday evening while dining with a KLR friend. The Stebel can be separated into the horn and air pump then linked together with tubing. This could make mounting possible. The installation place I found is where the stock horn is mounted. If you are installing the Wasp 3-Lights and bracket the horn would be hidden behind them.
