Hey everyone, had a question concerning the GIVI brand crashbars. I am thinking about installing them on my 2013 ST and was wondering if I could get feedback from people that have them on their ST. This there any annoying vibration that comes from the bars at any engine speed? The reason I ask is that I installed a set on my Kawasaki KLR650 and they had a terrible harmonic vibration that would happen from around 55 to 65 MPH. The vibration was so bad I had to take them off. The bars acted like a pair of tuning forks and was really bad. I have read about the same issue with GIVI bars on the Suzuki V-Stroms as well. Is anyone having this issue with the Super Tenere? Thanks.

Got them one my 2012 and have had no complaints. No vibration and mount solid. Fortunately, I have not had to check out their durability in a lay down situation (hope I don't).

Had them on my 2012 for 64,804 miles no problem. Have them on my 2014 ES for 6,655 miles so far no problem.
YMMV

Interesting comment about Givi bars on your KLR. I first has SW Motech bars on my 08 KLR and they had a terrible harmonic vibration around 70 mph. Took them off and installed Givi bars and all was well.

Installed mine on my 2012 in 2012. never laid them down, but have had them off road many, many times and at highway speeds. Solid as a rock!

This is all such great info! It's between Givi and Mastech for me. Thanks for the question, OP, and thanks for the replies.

::026:: on the Givi crash bars for me. I have had them on my 2012 since I purchased mine just a little under a year ago. No issues with them at all. There is also just enough room between the bars and the body panels that the panels can be removed (with a little wiggling) without removing the bars.

I appreciate the OP's question. I had Givi bars on all my V-Stroms, and the vibrated a good amount until you really cranked down on them...hard.

Never had an issue with them on either of our S10s. Both bikes have them, never a vibration issue.

Well, heck, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on them-ordered them from Revzilla. $198, no tax, and free shipping. Hard to beat.

Got them on with no problem. They will do just fine for the price. Welds are not pretty, but they mounted up just fine and seem stout.

Like other have noted. No issues on my 2012. I quite like them.

As far as the KLR is concerned, as you know, those things are vibration machines. Great bikes for what they are but I would imagine that there are lots of things that would make a racket mounted on one.
The Givi bare must just be frequency matched to one of the vibrations coming off the KLR.
