I'm still agonizing over ES vs standard. ES are running 1500-2000 more with the rebates etc. Quick ?, the 2015 ES comes also with heated grips, right? But the standard now does or does not?

They actually had 2 ES models and I would have bought one but it did not work out with the trade...
I stand corrected. Alright, I might have your bike...

Did you buy this one at Romeny?

Standard does not come with heated grips. I think it's about $400 retail + install to add them. For the first time ever I think it's worth having the OEM grips. They are very nicely integrated into the left cluster, meaning you don't take your hands off the grips to adjust them.

I'm not yet 100% convinced the suspension is necessary. Not ruling it out that I'll grow to love it, but right now it's more of a novelty to me. I am not the person you should listen to on suspension. I'm the guy who usually can't tell any difference and have almost always left the the suspension settings wherever the factory set them. I'm weird like that.

I had called Romney right after you bought yours and they said you just bought MY bike but had another if I wanted it.. Lol.. The other one must have just recently sold because it was on the website since you bought yours up until just last week... I did not buy there this time since my local dealer sold it for what it would cost me for the bike plus the travel there. If the vstrom was worth more, (not their fault just reality) I would have had the other one from Romney a few days after you bought yours since there was none locally.

I am the same way with suspension set it up once and never touch it again but I plan on figuring out the best settings for travel ... Twisties...and when riding dirt so I can adjust to wherever I am spending my day. Bike is only 1 day old so don't have an opinion yet. I plan on riding this bike a long time but my past shows I change bikes a lot so the ES bikes would probably also sell better later ... But with the changes they made to the newer bikes It is perfect for my type of riding.
