Has anyone installed the rear wheel hugger from Pyramid Plastics? If so, does it keep things appreciably cleaner in wet weather riding? My bike is a matte gray 2013. Pyramid offers several finishes - black, gloss white, matte gray, blue and carbon fiber (prices vary). Wondering how closely the matte gray matches the OE Yamaha paint.

I have had the Pyramid Hugger mounted for 40,000 miles. It keeps the rear of the bike cleaner... your right leg dry when riding in the rain... and mud away from the rear shock and luggage. I bought the carbon fiber but would buy a plastic if I was to buy another.

+1. I had the plastic one on my 2012. The only downside is it made R & R of the rear wheel a bit trickier during tire changes. I finally decided that I was less trouble to just remove the hugger for those changes.

I have a matte grey 2013 and a carbon hugger by Pyramid. I installed this last year. They did not produce the matte grey hugger then. Keeps the rear shock area cleaner, but other than that not much else - the rest of the underside still gets dirty. Weighing the pros and cons, I would still buy the hugger. If they have a plastic matte grey one I would go for that - much cheaper than carbon and same colour as the bike.

I purchased the Pyramid side infill panel in Matte Gray and it was a perfect match, in fact the first shipment of infill panels were delayed until they had matched color better. I also have the Pyramid rear hugger in black which was purchased prior to Matte Gray being available. The hugger does a great job on shock for sure and helps on underside somewhat. Would recommend both in Matte Gray. Agree on point making tire change a bit harder, but not that big of deal to manage.

I have the Pyramid fender extender and hugger on my 2012 S10. Both very good. I had the same stuff on my previous bike, a Tiger 955i.

Worth having.

Pyramid makes a Blue Hugger, anyone know whether it is a match to the Blue used on the earlier model Tenere's, or the Blue of the 2014 model? I love the 2014 Blue, never much cared for the earlier model Blue.
