Pulsing vibration issue?

So today, I noticed a few things that I never did before.

First is there seems to be both a slight wheel hop around 30mph in the front, and at lower speeds the bike feels like it wiggles from side to side. Normally I would attribute that issue with the tire tread, but im running Shinko 804/805 tires which seem to have a uniform pattern.

The other issue is around 40mph, theres a weird pulsating vibration. Kinda feels how a ceiling fan sounds when its a little off balance. I only notice it thru the seat, not so much anywhere else.


While Im asking, at 3000rpm there seems to be a pretty decent rattle. Only there, and in every gear. Its probably normal, but I figure Id ask anyway.

Check for missing balancing weights on the rims. There will be sticker marks.

Is your rims bent?

3000 rpm vibes is normal. I adjusted the CO settings to +3 for each cylinder n felt a definite reduction in vibes.

First part I'm not sure. The 3K thing, I'd do a TB synch just to rule it out. Is it a 1st gen model? Maybe you're feeling the clutch basket issue?

I replaced the bearings on the front wheel. Calmed it down. Now just the clutch basket vibe.

More information,please. Has the bike been off road? Checked spokes lately? What is the mileage? Have you check the tires, by spinning the front and or rear while the bike is on the center stand? Have you checked the brake rotors?

I had the 3000 rpm vibration and fixed it with a 14 clutch basket.

Has the bike been off road?Oh yeah. Nothing too crazy, I do more jumping off sidewalks and over dividers than off road. Currently.

Checked spokes lately? Dont know how and not sure what to look for

What is the mileage? ~31k, Serviced regularly (probably more than it needs) and CCT replaced

Have you check the tires, by spinning the front and or rear while the bike is on the center No, and again not too sure what to look for

I had to go out of town for a day so I dropped it off at the dealer to be looked after (I live in the hood) and asked them to investigate some of the issues.

Tech said there was a significant bounce in the front, thinks it might be a flat spot from sitting for a month on the show floor. I doubted that, checked pressure and it was 21psi. back up to 35 and no hop yet. he couldnt find the vibration but didnt ride it long, and def found the clutch basket vibe. looks like thats on the agenda.

don't discount the fact that the tire could be out of round.
I installed a brand new k60 on the back. Bastard was out of round. Took me a while to figure out, and to trace it, as the culprit.
Tire went back to heidenau, and they confirmed it was faulty.
