Hello all,
I was on a thread on Face Book and we got to talking about windshields, etc and when I asked a guy how much taller his Puig was compared to the stock one. So looking at the pic, and how much better protection it provides, I am getting one soon. My stock screen is useless unless I bend over. I am 6' 1" and I get sick of wind buffeting the heck out of my head/helmet.

I bought one and I like it a lot. It's maybe not quite as good as my Parabellum but it's close. I bought it because I wanted a smaller screen for the summer and also to get a tinted one. It looks great on the bike.

It looks ok but is kinda huge. :D I say that affectionately because in my opinion, the Parabellum does wind protection better than anything out there. The Puig is a great compromise though between protection and looks.

You can ask Parabellum to make it any height you want. I just had them make me a shorty to replace factory and really like it.

I don't think the Parabellum allows as much air beneath the leading edge of the screen- That helps alleviate back pressure and reduce buffeting. Get the Puig- it's a great screen. A lot cheaper, too.

The puig in the picture looks like the windshield on my Tenere, it was already on the bike when I bought it used, the dealer that installed it told me it's a puig, near the bottom right of mine there is a sticker that says Tenere.
As far as wind protection I would rate it reasonable but I think the main problem lies with Yamaha design rite from the start, the way it's designed to much wind finds its way under and around the windshield, the faster you go the worse it gets, at 60-65 mph it works pretty good but at higher speeds turbulence starts to show up, of course side wind and turbulence from other vehicles all have an effect.

I have the Puig and its great. I did an Alps trip with the standard screen and that highlighted how utter rubbish the standard screen is. The Puig is a joy to sit behind as it creates a bubble of calm, less wind buffeting and less stress on the head neck and shoulders.
I am 6 foot 1 and have it set on one up from the lowest setting on the adjustable screen mechanism.
Works for me.

Cee Bailey is also very good about making you whatever height you want. I went with the height they suggested based on my height. After fitting it, the top edge was at eye level. They happily (and for free) chopped a couple inches off and sent it back.

Well I ordered the Puig screen today. Is it hard to switch out?
I don't know how to answer this. I'm kinda inclined to say that if you're asking, then maybe getting some help might not be a bad idea. I mean, have you looked at it? It's (4) screws.

FB, I replaced the stock M5 screws with 4 x M5 20mm thumb screws for ease of screen changing.
