OK. So it's May 2014 and time for a new helmet. My 7 year old Arai Profile is getting a little long in the tooth. So after much hunting, I settle on my first modular helmet, a Nolan N-104.

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago. Mu buddy and I are on a 2,500 mile trip doing some of the AZBDR. (That's a whole other story.) Early in the trip, one of the levers that lifts up the front of the helmet breaks off. Now, it's essentially a full face helmet. Not good. This helmet is not designed to be full face. It nearly rips my ears off every time I take it off.

When I get back, I call the Nolan service peeps (CIMA International) and explain what happened. There was no hesitation. They immediately gave me an RMA number and told me they fix these problems same day or next day all the time. I was skeptical, but the helmet shipped to them on Tuesday and I got it back the following Monday.

At my request, not only did they fix the flip-up front (works better than new), they also replaced the scratched sun visor and the gasket around the face shield (it leaked before).

All this work was done at no cost. Kudos to Nolan for standing behind their product. When it comes time for my next helmet, Nolan will be on the short list. Not only is it a great product, but you can't beat their customer service.

Ever since I've been riding (and that's many many years) I have always had Nolan helmets. Currently my wife and I have the Nolan N-84 (full face with integrated bluetooth comms). Super helmets.
