One more plus. Just did first oil change and the bash plate is very easy to remove. The rest of it wasn't in the way at all.

How you doing Eric - me again :)

Looking to upgrade from the 2012 Super Tenere to a 2015 - do you know if the lower bash plates I have will fit the 2015 ?
Also have the complete Nomada pannier and top box set up - will those transfer as well?

Thanks again for bringing in such a great products !!!

Wishing you the best,
Frank

Doing good, and have another order coming in, possibly next week, with some un-sold 3-Part Kits for the S10.

Absolutely. Zero issues with fitment for the 15 std or ES.

I honestly don't know. It may depend on if you want an ES or std version. What I've been reading is that the ES models have issues with the pannier brackets made for earlier bikes. But a few people seem to have modified the brackets to work with the ES. So it may depend on how handy you are, or if you prefer a bolt up solution. I'd be asking Holan or their distributor about fitment, and if no, can you buy new mounting hardware and keep your current cases.

Thanks Frank. To be clear, I don't sell the Holan products, but agree they are first rate quality.

Pardon my ignorance - must be one of those senior moments ::013:: in my haste asked you about Holan panniers, those should have been directed to Jason.
Thanks for the heads up on the transferability of the bash plate. If plans go as planned - might need two more lower bash plates for a couple more friends who are overseas and acquiring S 10's ::015::
Thanks again and take care,
Frank

No problem Frank. I don't stock the lower bash frame/skid plate as most people want the full 3-Part kit, so try to give me as much notice as possible if you want to order those. AK shipping was ridiculous, but we managed to make it affordable by using USPS, which is not possible for the larger 3-Park kit boxes. Still running 6 weeks lead time between when I order and when customers receive their products.

Just got off the phone with Eric. One less 3-piece kit available, so if you're on the fence, better act quick.

As usual, I'll post pics when I get them installed in a couple weeks.

Great !!! - will pass on the word and let you know as soon as I know. YUP, shipping to Alaska has always been on the high side - however, I will have these shipped to a Washington Address which will save big $$$ which I can use to buy more bling ::013:: ::012:: ::015::

Sounds like a great plan Frank! :D I am getting ready to place the next order, hopefully in the next week or so. Don't delay too long or it will end up going to the next order.

I am sold out on the incoming order for Super Ten kits, (but tell your KTM buds to give me a call! ;D )

Did three days of dirt riding this week, first time out since installing my full Rumbux. Hit some very muddy sections and filled up my skid plate pretty good with mud and rocks. Upon arriving home and washing away the mud I found some rocks wedged between the skid and engine sump. Hard blast of water removed all except two but those two were wedged fairly tight and took a long hooked screwdriver to pry them out. Got to thinking that if the skid plate took a hard hit where those rocks were wedged some of the impact could be transferred through the rocks to the sump. Not a high probability of this happening but a possibility none the less. Going to order some skid plate foam and install it when the skid is removed at my next oil change to prevent this. This will also make it easier to clean mud off the bike as it can no longer accumulate underneath the engine.

Happy to report that the Rumbux wasn't put to use (no falls or bottom hits) but my knowing it was there sure gave me peace of mind.

Glad you had a good ride! Not a bad idea about the foam. Got a link?

And hey! We like pics of muddy bikes, go some? ;D

The best deal I've found is a KTM oem part. I use it on my Husqvarna also, approx 6" x 10" and very large cells so water doesn't sponge up.

I don't take many photos but here's one I snapped because of the backdrop. Doesn't look so muddy but that skid is loaded up good already if you zoom in. Got worse later in the day.

Can these bar clamps be purchased without the light brackets? Brackets don't work for me as I'm installing a light bar. Price? I might even buy another set to mount highway pegs onto the lowers. Does Rumbux offer any bolt on pegs w/ clamps? Would be a good product for them I think.

Those light brackets come as a 3-piece set, but many simply don't use the yokes. They are $xx/pair. I have some of the new smaller light clamps in stock in orange and black that are $xx/pair + $x shipping. Pic below. Both types are well suited for smaller lights as the mounting hole/bolt for the lights is 6mm. If you want to mount larger lights, it is possible to drill out the 3-piece style clamp to 8mm/5/16", but I wouldn't go farther than that. I can highly recommend KC Highlites light clamps for heavier lights, (but don't sell them). No footpegs from Rumbux at this time. Not a big demand in South Africa, apparently. I have spoken to them about highway pegs or tabs in the past.

I like the larger clamps as they are steel, rugged looking, stronger and black. All I find online are aluminum, cast and/or chromed steel. Your smaller clamps are cast or aluminum?

Looking at the photo again I have a plan. Buy the 3 pc. set and cut the wings off each yoke and drill a single hole on each to mount my Rigid lightbar. That gives me a nice strong L bracket that I needed anyway and powder coated to match. Just need to touch up the ends where I cut so they don't rust.

So do you have a 3 pc. set in stock? I realize I could call but I know this is a side business for you so will let your answer at your convenience. Also some of this would be good for others to read eliminating inquires for you in the future possibly.

The larger clamps are more robust. I do not have a set in stock, but could get some added to the order in progress. That is due in mid May, but may come in sooner. I'm waiting to hear if they are able to ship from stock on hand.

The smaller clamps are steel, with a molded, solid plastic insert. Surprisingly solid, but not quite as HD as the larger, all steel, versions. The smaller ones are more intended for LED and lighter lights, but as a pair I suspect they would hold a light bar very well.

Questions and public comment/observations are always welcome. ::008::

Follow up;
Did my 2nd oil change yesterday so installed my skid plate foam.
KTM p/n: 59003990250
$6 online discounted, probably still less than $10 after tax at a local dealer
measures 4" x 11-1/2" x 1-1/2"

The gap between the sump and Rumbux skid didn't warrant the full 1-1/2" thickness. I didn't want the foam compressed that much (would reduce air flow and water pass thru) and it would make taking the skid plate on/off harder as well. So I took a sharp utility knife and butterflyed the foam in two. So now the cost just dropped in half and it makes install a breeze. The foam is just long enough to tuck under each end of the skid plate cross supports so it holds up on its on while you re-install the plate as normal. If I had to custom design a piece I would not change a thing.

I know everybody likes photos but dirty hands and cameras don't mix. Honestly though really nothing to see. This is a cheap/easy mod that could save you an oil leak if you're the unlucky type. Will also reduce mud accumulation and make washs up easier.
