I've run the stock, a Seat Concepts, a Sargent, and a Russell Day Long. The RDL working the best for my 6'3"/240.

But....I really loved the Russell from my RT. Built in what I think of is the "old style". Kept it when I sold the bike.

And now, I've made brackets and mounted it to my sooperten. Took a couple of tries, but it's on there. Just did 8k on it in the past month, definitely got a winner, I'm keeping this thing.

I have ran a seargents for a few years now and really like it but recently i made some more changes to the high low spacer under the seat and for the heck of decided to try the stock seat again. I will tell you for me i dont think i would have any trouble doing 1000 mile days on it if i had to. I am actually sitting on the wider part of the seat now.

It started life as the extended shifter from Off The Road in Germany, but then after 60k kms the end disappeared.

So, I scrounged a shifter from a 2005ish Warrior, cut it down and ground it to fit, bolted it on, and be damned if it doesn't work way better for me. It's a heavy steel piece, so I feel it better through my boots.

Sorry about the delay responding.

What changes have you made to the spacer? I did a trip back in September and was on the bike for multiple days and the stock seat with an air hawk pad didn’t work for me. I survived but was Uncomfortable most of the trip. I’d love to figure out a way to make the stock seat more comfortable especially with aftermarket seats costing so much.

the stock seat feels amazing , but only in the showroom . my Corbin is all leather feels a bit slippery but I don't slide and the foam has never felt soft . I can do 12 hour days with out much trouble . I had an old ford tractor with an
all metal seat , surprising how comfortable it seemed .... it has a great shape and the Corbin sorta mimics that .
been on a Russel day long seat that belonged to a buddy . probably the best seat ever , but to me its plain ugly and I cant have an ugly seat on my bike . big fan of my Corbin.

I put spacers under the front of the seat higher than stock. I also have been running the seat with the middle and rear bumpers out for years. I have done 1000 mile days on the stock set up and it was doable but not fun. Set up like this it is much better. I had to move my handlebars back towards me to make it all work like I needed.

Do you remember what you used for the front spacers? Unfortunately it’s not looking like a new seat is likely to happen with all the other unexpected expenses that keep coming up. Might have to try something like what you set up. Thanks.

Hello 2018S10ES. I cut the back spacers to the size I wanted and mounted that to the bump stops on the front of the plastic spacer that goes under the seat for high or low position. I also had to space out the seat latch to reach correctly and bend it back some to line up right. the back tab on the seat I cut a plastic block out of some material I had and bolted it to the seat tab to take up the space for the missing spacers in the back and middle of the seat. The seat fits tight and is steady. I can still use high and low but never change it. It works well for me.

So you’re in TN⁉ the best custom motorcycle seat I’ve ever had my butt on is made right up the road from you in Manchester TN at Terry’s Custom Seats. A great seat without the bloated pricing of the advertised national brands I found this seat offers great support and comfort..you can leave the preparation H “behind” on your next long trip.
A few pix so you can see how mine looks. Had a bud ride my bike and he was blown away with the seat.
