Went out there and they seem to have a good selection of parts and are nice folks. I picked up a set of wind deflectors (winglets) and they matched their online price. Kind of wished I'd checked with them first before ordering my panniers. They are close to the airport, as mentioned, which should be near your pickup point.

Jeffrey,

We have a Yamaha dealer in Longview and Vancouver as well. They are both the same company (Pro Caliber Motor Sports). Not sure what OEM parts you may need but if you know what you want well enough ahead of time, it may be better for you to call ahead and order your parts. Both dealers are north of Portland and presumably on your route out of town. In the mean time, if you need any assistance, let me know.

Ray,Thanks for the feedback we were hoping to get the parts near where we pick up the bikes. We have found it much moe economic to buy in the U.S. as opposed to Australia. We also need to get camping equipment once we arrive as our vehicle shipper will not transport it. We will be in Portland a few days prior so will get everything prior to pick. I have contacted the dealer in Portland and they will have everything I have pre ordered waiting for me. Looking forward to seeing your part of the world.

We were hoping not to spend too much as Austaralia quarintine does not like you to bring things like used camping gear back into the country. We were not planning on bringing it back to avoid this situation. Thanks again for your help.

HI John,

Welcome from yet another Pacific NW Téneré owner! I live in Sherwood (deep SW Portland) and just bought my bike last Fall. I rode quite a few other bikes and did copious research prior to the purchase. Make not mistake about it, it's one fantastic bike; great value, versatile, and a real pleasure to ride. But I'm sure you know that by now! Our area is full of fantastic riding, in spite of the rain, and it would be great to get together, take a ride and talk bikes. Give me a shout anytime.
