iClint, the stock power port is only designed to power a phone or GPS, which is why there is a 3amp fuse in the circuit. By putting a 15amp fuse in the circuit, you are more likely going to melt the small gauge wire now, creating a possible fire hazard. Definitely consider adding a circuit with appropriate wire gauge for the task.

+1 to what he said.

The wires to the cigarrette lighter are not sized for a load the size of a pump. It gets worse, as those wires are in a larger bundle with more important wires, and the bundle can leave you stranded, plus would be a big expense to replace.

As for the list of parts, torques, tools, etc - don't forget that it is easy to copy info from the stickies in the Technical Discussion section of this forum to your phone. That way, when you are in Walmart and trying to remember oil filter numbers, or on the road and trying to remember what size allan wrench is required to remove the front wheel, you got it handy.

I've done something similar for a while now, though with mine I made it into a .pdf document and keep it on my phone. Mine has the technical info (oil capacity, oil type, brake fluid type, tire sizes, etc) but also has info for stuff that I might have to go to somewhere besides a Yamaha dealer to buy, because there isn't one around. So I have a list of compatible automobile oil filter sizes, all the wheel bearing sizes for the front, rear and final drive, headlight bulb sizes, actual battery dimensions so I can find one at a place like WalMart or O'Reilly Auto that'll fit in a pinch. I like having it on my phone, since it always stays with me.

The one thing I didn't have was the fuse list, so I'm going to unabashedly swipe that and add it to my list.

fwiw - I print the bike registration and things that are kept on the bike on waterproof paper, available online or for a lot more money at any office supply store like staples. This would be one of those.

I just print those documents out on regular paper and then "laminate" them with clear packing tape. As long as you make sure you seal the tape edges together, it lasts forever, it's waterproof, and very cheap.
