Can anyone direct me to where I might purchase a plus 2 set of throttle cables? Adding the Rox Riser has created a routing problem with the stock cables. Everything works, but I had to route them differently and I don't like. A plus 2 set would enable me to clean things up a bit. Thanks.

Not sure if they make them for the tenere but you might try MotionPro. They have made those for me for other bikes.

Where ??? I don't see +2 throttle cables on your site!

When istalling the Pro Taper Contour Raptor bar on the RRR risers I had to invert my throttle so the cables are at the bottom - OEM heated grip wire goes over the top now and in front of the brake fluid reservoir. works well and no binding issues.

I'm in Austrsalia... Web shops is what I have to do my shopping i cannot just call.
I wish there were people like Jaxon in Oz!

So may as well ask now if Jaxon does extended electrical lines as well?

Sorry for the exceedingly slow response to all. I did actually find a source for longer throttle cables through jaxon@wildcardcustoms.com . They were very reasonably priced and of excellent quality. Just use the above email address if you too wish to purchase cables and brake lines. Jackson is quick to answer, and there is quite a variety of styles and colors to choose from.

Be warned, however, that changing the throttle cables is no simple task. It involves removing most of the front end of the bike. It is not a job for the faint of heart ;-)

I just received mine from RideOnAdv.com

I haven't installed them yet because I have no idea what to do and they didn't come with directions. Still looking forward to getting them on.

For those unaware, Tabasco is Jaxon's forum name, while his company names are RideOnADV and WildCardCustoms.
All are the same guy.

+1

Jaxon is semi-local to me, he also works on bikes, specifically the Tenere. He's a perfectionist with a sharp eye. He's worked on several of my friends Teneres also, & I gotta say he does great work.

If your anywhere near D/FW, or central Texas, its worth a visit to his shop.

Where would I find some instruction on how to invert the throttle like you did?

easy peasy

undo front bolts of handguard that attach to front brake
loosen the 2 botls of the metal throttle housing
rotate the hosing 180 deg - rotate the top cables towards the rear, watch the heated grip cable as this has to now go up between the brake and handguarde
tighten the throttle cable housing.
Note: you do have to make sure that all the wires, cables and brake hoses are free and do not bind when you turn full lock both directions. The heated grip wire is just long enough for the RRR risers to work in the low height setting - but do not work at any higher setting)

I did this as part of the bar swap. if you need room you can take off the front brake (take mirror off first). let the brake hang while rotating the throttle cables,
I cannot remeber if you need to thread the brake through any other cables to get better cable management, but this is easy to to do with front brake off the Bar.

I did cut some clear PVC tubing to wrap around the cables so thay they do not rub on things. a fat tube for the throttle cables rubbing on the bar mount clamp, and a spiral cut thin pvc tube over the grip heater wire so as not to rub on the handguard bolts and master cylinder. (note I have since added 14cm heated grip wire extensions i made to give me better height adjustment for the heated grip wire. RRR riser can now go full height. I made this myself as I'm in Australia, but Tabasco/Jaxxson can make this for those in USA)
