Just noticed these male end plugs? nothing plugged into them? upon further inspection the female plug for each were tucked up into the wiring . what gives with these. what are they and which color wire to which plug?
Hey Fred I was hoping you'd see this as it sounds like you've put together your share of S10s. Didn't get home until late last night so no chance to check the service manual to figure out what the plugs are for. Will look today. The answer to your questions is I think so...can't honestly remember starting the bike in gear but figure i probably did? Always use both brakes when it counts so didn't notice any issue with the rear brake lights but do have the topbox on so that could have shielded it a little. Your guess at the function of the plugs was the same as mine but with all the electronics on this bike I wasn't entirely sure.fredz43 said:Are you talking about the brake light switch on the front brake lever and the clutch lever interlock for starting the bike in gear? Does your brake light come on when you pull the front lever? Can you start your bike whilst in gear if you pull the clutch in?
Kudos to Fredz43 the plugs are indeed for the front brake switch and the clutch switch. Both are open/closed curcuits so orientation of plugs does not matter. Confirmed via service manual.fredz43 said:Are you talking about the brake light switch on the front brake lever and the clutch lever interlock for starting the bike in gear?
