Picking up my Super Tenere tomorrow from Thousand Oaks Motorsports. Currently ride the FZ1 and the FZ6 before that. My current dirt bike is a Husky TE510. Lots of dirt riding and racing experience but I wanted a good solid adventure bike to go get lost on and camp out. Love the FZ1 and it's all set up as a sport tourer/commuter great ride but looking for more comfort and flexibility. Plus I get to spend at least the next year farkling out the Super Tenere with help from this board. Heated grips and a mount for my SHAD top Box first. Gotta lug around the laptop everyday to work. Anyway stoked to be getting on a Super Tenere tomorrow.

This is a great bike. I come from a dirt background also and the Tenere always puts a smile on my face every time I get a chance to ride it. The bike does the job I Purchased it for with ease and I will never reach it's limits. It's limit is me.

Congrats on your new ride. ::008::

Congrats! I got mine for the same reasons and come from dirt background like you. You will love this new beast.
Thanks man I see we have had many similar dirt bikes. The KLR 650, and the WR426 and WR 450 I've also had a KTM EXC 525. All excellent bikes. Really looking forward to the touring ability of the Super Tenere I know it's not a dirt bike but some off the beaten paths to pitch a tent is gonna open up a whole new world of riding I hope. Really looking forward to it.

Just moved from TO not long ago. Just got a tenere two weeks ago and love it! Welcome!
Never been to Oregon but close once at Eureka for my 40th bd tour. Stopped at a lot of cool breweries. Great trip on the FZ1. Oregon will probably be my first journey. Pissed I didn't do it when I was in Eureka. Love the that area.

Yep, all good bikes. I have about 430 miles on my S10 and it has gotten smoother and more fun to ride. Enjoy the heck out of it!

The next time you cruise through OC, give me a shout.

Welcom on, Gcontroller from California. Yes, there are grounds for excitement. Picking mine up this week as well. A new grey/gray one. Looking fard to it. And I'll be right out riding .... as soon as the temps get above freezing and the ice is gone from my driveway. Probably same problems you're having ... ::025:: ::025:: ::004:: to the Forum. Thanks all for the friendly welcomes. Changed out the engine and final drive oil last night. Easy job. It needed to be changed really dirty with only 711 miles on it. Were up to about 800 miles at this point. Really liking the bike and it's still stock! My farkle wish list is growing. Fun stuff first road trip planned is to the Grand Canyon here soon.
