If you see any "PLEASE UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT TO ENABLE 3RD PARTY HOSTING" from photobucket, try this fix

Fix for seeing Photobucket pics

If you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again.

For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result.

Or just go to SmugMug or one of the others. While it costs me $48/year, SmugMug does not reduce the resolution of my photos and I can limit who sees what. It's nice that you can set up passwords for individual galleries so you select who gets to see what of your current friends and activities. And it was started by the guy who owns ADVRider who recently sold the business to his son, so somebody I want to support and I'm not worried about another Photobucket screwing.

btw - For transparency, if you use the coupon I get a cut in my renewal cost and it doesn't change the price you pay. You can use the coupons too once you are on SmugMug.

Thanks, it's nice to see my pictures again. Of course I don't have any faith they will stay and I still need to go back and replace the ones I care about with smugmug links. But until I get that winter project going it's nice to have them around again.
