I just did this to my '14 with and it's a perfect solution. I too was going to place it where the tool bag is, but access is a pain. This is a perfect place. I used double sided velcro to get it in place and then used the top to screws to hold in place.

So I just got in and partially installed my EB PC8. I cut a little plastic and mounted it behind the right hand cover, upper right. Everything fits really well and I like the way it all mounts.

Onlyst problem is: The PC8 is hot all the time, no matter if the ign switch is on or off. I used the EB plug to the OEM plug for switched power. I'm thinking EB may have mistakenly put the switched wire in the wrong plug hole. And maybe its just a matter of moving the EB wire to the bottom portion of the plug, which matches the switched power of the OEM wiring plug.

But I'm pretty eletrical challenged so, Am I missing something??

Thanks

Mounted my PC8 under the Corbin seat on my 2014 ES using heavy duty Velcro. The fit is tight but fine. I have 20,000 kms on it with no problems. Only caveat is the seat has to be in the high position, but given that is my preferred setting it is not a problem. David

I have a 2015 ES and I'm installing an FZ-1 Fuzeblock. Dimensions: L 3.25" x W 2.5" x H 1.25". Here's the spot I found that should work.

Right beside the battery there's a little protrusion. It isn't used for mounting and nothing attaches behind it. Maybe it's just from the moulding process, I don't know. But I cut the little bugger off and my FZ-1 fits perfectly in there and is accessible under the first cover. I'm trying to find the clips needed to use the heated grips plug in to power it. If not I'll just run leads to the battery. I'm going to mount it with heavy duty velcro instead of trying to screw it down. That way I can leave some extra wire and lift it off if I need to. I was going to do it all yesterday, but I always glue the velcro down and wanted to give it a day to set. I'll post the finished pictures later.
Not a PC-8 but that is the location I used for my Neutrino Black box. Just used a couple of strips of 3M super-strong gray double sticky trim mounting tape to hold it there. You could also fit it under the seat I think, but I only had space enough for my StarCom intercom unit in there.
