Hi - how do you access the two small bulbs located inside the top corners (top left of left headlight, top right of right headlight) of the front headlight housing. I just installed new LED lights. They look great and are so much brighter, but it looks weird with the yellowish tint of these smaller bulbs. I'd like to exchange for LEDs as well, but I can't figure out how to access them. Thx!

You have to pull the headlamp assembly to do this. Maybe this will help. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/582246/Yamaha-Super-Tenere-Xt1200z.html?page=91#manual
Another Forum member posted this previously for someone with the same question. Always good to check your owners manual first, sometimes the answer can be found there.

I was in the same boat as you, the LED headlight bulbs looked very white and the parking lights yellow, which I hated. I also swapped the parking lights for LED lights, as stated it's a nuisance and a bit long winded to change the parking bulbs, but it's not difficult. Worth it in the end to have all white lights!! Either do it early in the morning before it gets hot, or wait to the evening when its a bit cooler, took me about an hour to change both bulbs!!

I don't see how this job could possibly take an hour...I have a Gen1, maybe its a Gen2 thing?
I have headlight protectors and a large engine protection frame (T-Rex) that comes up to the lights, had to remove parts of both systems to access the headlight, it took time!!

Thanks much for all the quick responses. I'm amazed how active this forum is. Great to know for future questions, which I will have. I posted this question and didn't bother checking for replies, not thinking I would get too many with such a simple procedure. I figured it out - found the four bolts after removing the plastic grill surrounding the headlights and pulled it out far enough to get to those gray plastic holders. I found these 931 LEDs at O'Reilys. Looks great and such an improvement over the stock bulbs. In case you're curious, I used Beamtech bulbs from Amazon for the high/low beam bulbs. Not super bright but better than stock. The LEDs mimic the Halogen filament in size, length and direction, and not needing a heatsink, it was a direct fit so no need for extended caps.

Hopefully your new headlights will work good, I put in a different brand that appeared very bright but when riding after dark they were worse than the stock halogen bulbs so I replaced them with the very expensive Cyclops bulbs.

I hear you, I had cyclops in another vehicle of mine and they rock in terms of brightness. The Beamtechs are not as bright as Cyclops but much better than stock. Such an easy fit too.

My cyclops bulbs just went out H7. Both at the same time. I’m trying another brand.

Can you post a link to the Beamtech bulbs you bought? Amazon has multiple listings for Beamtech and they may not all give the same result as the specific bulbs you got.

Thanks.
