Parabellum Tall vs. Stock

I have a Madstad bracket with a Parabellum tall & OEM winglets. With that, I don't get any buffeting but I do still get some wind noise, depending on the conditions. It is big tho. I thought I'd try the stock shield on the Madstad to see what that would do (not good, I'm 6'2" and it was a lot noisier). Since I had them out, I snapped a couple of pics in case anyone is looking at that. Here is the Gen. 2 stocker on top of the Parabellum

That measures about 7.25" taller with additional 2" on each side (i.e., barn door). I did notice that the stocker is a more complex shape (flaired out at top and lower sides) and if you duck while riding, it does get quieter. What I'm kind of wondering is if the tall OEM with those curves might not be a reasonable compromise (ONLY 4" taller and not quite as wide) during hot weather. Anybody try that?

I haven't tried the taller OEM and so I'm sorry I can't answer, but perhaps more food for thought. I too had the Parabellum tall shield and found it was too darn tall for me (I'm 6').
The Madstat 18" screen is 1 inch taller than the OEM screen (probably not enough for your height).
The Madstat 20" screen is 3 inches taller than the OEM.
The Madstat 22" screen is 4 inches taller than the OEM screen.

So if the HIGH Yamaha screen is 4 inches taller, than the Madstat 22 inch screen would be the same. Kind of hard to image because the 20 inch screen that I have seems tall enough, but you have 2 extra inches on me so I will always look up to you ::025::. What I did for the 20 inch Madstat that I have was carefully drill another set of holes so that I can raise the screen up more in the winter, then lower the screen back to the Madstat drilled holes during the summer.

As I recall, I did notice the Parabellum was pretty wide, and it may be that the Madstat is not as wide, but wider than the OEM screen.

thanks, as it stands right now with the PB tall and the Madstat in the low position, the top of the screen is just below eye level which is good. It is a bit much in hot weather tho so what I was thinking about is something smaller that would yield decent wind protection. The stocker on the Madstsd bracket is for sure not it, at least for me. A little wider & 4" taller tho, who knows? It's not that expensive so maybe I'll try it sometime...
