Panniers-Trunk

Just bought a Super T. 2 weeks new. I ordered some Jesse side boxes/panniers. I would like a trunk/top box to use with or without the side boxes. Suggestions please. The top box having a backrest would be a plus. Also, anyone install a solitary backrest. My wife would really love that. ::012::

Bikes come and go and my Givi topcase moves from bike to bike.. You can add a backrest and a top rack if the size isn't large enough for you. The largest now comes in 55 liter size, easy on / easy off, one handed operation and water proof. If you get an Altrider luggage rack, it can double up as a Givi topcase plate if you also order the givi mounting hardware which ran me $17 or so.

I have the Givi top box 46L. I like it very much. I just pop it on between my ST1300 and my Super Tenere. Easy peasy. R ::008::

I went with the Shad topcase plus the metal mounting bracket that replaces the OEM plastic. The US supplier in the southeast is www.rlmotorcycles.com. Shad is the same company that makes the OEM side cases for Tenere and the BMW line.

I used my fjr topbox and mount. Took the S10 rear rack off and made an adaptor plate for the fjr mount and box, i suppose you could even use one of the luggage locks that came with the superten for single key use.

Be sure to have the Jesse's mounted before you order your top box. The width of some top boxes will interfere with the Jesse's opening.

I am going to re-use athe Shad SH50L from my Concours C14. Just place the order for the metal plate and mounting assembly. One trunk for 2 bikes!!!!

Great choice. I have enjoyed the quality of the Shad top box and the metal plate makes a solid attachment!
