one note - I was in Germany recently and you can buy a new bike off the showroom floor if you'd like - at least in Mannheim

real topic - what are recommended panniers? I have tourtech & altrider here in seattle. tourtech looks to make good panniers & altrider has a good selection of gear - maybe heavy, but robust.

opinions? no doubt it will require $1.5-3K to get the S10 in touring form
